PLEASE NOTE IF YOUR DUE DATE HAS ALSO CHANGED...OTHER WISE I?LL ADD YOU TO THE NEW DATE WITHOUT REALIZING THAT YOU ARE LISTED ELSEWHERE!!

1st Question---and I?m open to all opinions, I just had a thought, due to the decreasing number of responses each day; what if we change the check in to 3 times a week (MWF) and I would post it in the morning as usual with a repost of the link later in the afternoon?? No. We will make a few calls, send an email, and put it on my blog.
we let our moms go to the ultrasound with us. That was about as exciting as it could get!

Well we called my mom to tell her and she started crying. The rest of the family we told by having a GTG and telling my nephew..he then yelled it.

We just called our parents when we found out and I sent a text to all my friends.
I don't think we will have a chance to announce it in a cute way. Both sets of our parents know exactly what time on May 12th we are going and I expect our cell phones will be ringing promptly.
No ideas yet. I'm kind of interested to see what everyone else is doing though....

Big u/s tomorrow!!!! Finally! Anyway, I would like to make up a cute way to tell everyone, like the cupcake idea or something but my insane family is not having it. My appointment is at 9am and I know that my phone will start ringing off the hook at 9:30. Everyone is dying to know and they will kill me if I make them wait an extra nanosecond to find out , lol.

We had everyone over for a cookout that night- we told them we would either wear bue or pink to let them know. It was so fun! DH set up the video camera to tape everyone's reactions as we opened the door.

Thanks for doing this, I'm ok with making this a MWF thing too. I respond when I can but sometimes I miss the check in completely!

Do you have/did you have a fun way of announcing the gender,
if you found out, to your friends and family?
At the time I thought this was clever, but reflecting back on it, I'm having second thoughts. My sister has been going into orbit waiting to find out what the baby was going to be. This past Monday, when we found out, she had a softball game, and I decided to tell her then as opposed to calling her (which I thought was no fun).
We had perfect timing, because when DH and I got there, she was up to bat. Just as she begins to swing, I yell out, "Karen! It's a girl!" I think I surprised her, because even though she got a huge piece of the ball, she also ended up throwing the bat at the pitcher. She almost forgot to run to 1st base because she was looking at me, and parents were shooting me dirty looks. I then sheepishly slunk up to picnic tables where my parents were. Oh well...
We just had our big ultrasound yesterday and found out its a Boy!!!
We just called everyone bc we knew they wanted to know asap.
I found out at an appt alone (didn't expect to have an ultrasound that day) so after work I rushed to the Harley Davidson store and bought a blue baby boy outfit and put it in neutral gift bag...then when I got home told Daddy that the baby had a present for him. He was so focused on the Harley logo for a couple seconds before he finally commented "but it's for a boy". I just stood there smiling...he said it again...then the lightbulb went on and he got what I was trying to tell him.
I wish he would have been with me...but it was fun to surprise him too.
For the immediate family we made a game out of it. It was actually bump inspired (from a former post)! We had everyone in the family e-mail each other the 5 silliest/creepiest/weirdest pictures they could find, and then everyone voted on who's pictures they thought won (couldn't vote for your own). Then that's who got to find out first. It was just a fun way to decide who to call first and made us all giggle throughout the week leading up to it.
P.S. It's a BOY!!!!

We just called everyone because they were all aware of our appt and waiting to hear the news! I did, however, have them guess before I told them. That was kinda fun

I'm good with the MWF thing.
We just called people after we found out. We're out of state from all of our family so it was really the only way to do it.
I am more then fine with this only being done 3x's per week. I reply when I see it, but I don't see it alot of the time.
QOTD:
We were going home to visit our families one week after we found out and we made everyone wait. We wraped outfits for each of our parents in gender nutural paper for them to open (my mom at the airport and his parents once we got to his sisters house). It was nice to see them find out and not tell them over the phone since we didn't get to see anyone react when we told them we were expecting.

We simply told our parents, mostly because we were in shock that I had gotten pregnant so easily!

Good Morning! For question 1, I have no problem with doing a MWF check-in if it's easier with you. I know once I check in I don't usually get a chance to come back.
QOTD: We had an u/s at 17 weeks, so it was about 2 weeks earlier than when my family was expecting to find out the sex. I wanted to send a small bouquet to both sets of grandparents with a mylar ballon that said "It's a Boy!", however it was the week before Easter, and all of the arrangements I liked were pretty expensive, so we called everyone. I had so much fun with my parents. My dad answered and said he was talking to my mom and my aunt and I asked if he would like to tell them he was going to have another grandson, and he said sure and just started laughing. It was such a great sound!!

QOTD: My sister could not wait so we texted her right after...For DH family we plan on telling them on mothers day with the cake reveal (blue frosting and all). For my mom We plan on putting DS in a shirt that says I have a baby brother.
We find out this coming Monday (assuming baby cooperates!). We are having all of our family come over. I ham having a cake made with either blue or pink frosting in the middle depending on what it is. On top of the cake it is going to say "10 little fingers, 10 little toes, Boy or Girl, No one knows".
Then we are going to have our mom's cut the cake so that they can see what color is inside the cake.
We wanted to do something fun because we just called everybody up on the phone when we found out we were pregnant so I wanted to tell them this in person.

We let our moms come with us to the ultrasound yesterday! :-) It was so amazing! We didn't think our little boy was going to let us see what he was, but after 20 minutes of pushing on my belly... he finally moved his hand and foot! LOL! So Excited!

We did not announce in a cute way...we knew his fam would act disappointed since there are 3 boys already and everyone was hoping for a girl...oh well! They will get over it!
I love this question! We find out next Tuesday and I can't wait. I was thinking of making my family and ILs get together for dinner. After the appointment DH and I will go shopping and buy an outfit for each baby and give each grandma a present to open. My mom thinks I won't be able to wait that long to tell them though, I think she says that because she won't be able to wait, lol.
I too almost always miss the check in, especially since I can no longer go to this site at work.
But an update for me is that we did not find out the gender, we are waiting for the big day!! Things are going great so far and I'm looking forward to the next few months.
