My warm fuzzy moment from the weekend

You will all be able to appreciate this, so I thought I would share.

Yesterday, SS called around 6pm, and said his mom never brought him his lunch/dinner to work. He started at 2, so for him, it was dinner time, and he has to eat on his schedule. So, we hopped into the car and took him some dinner.
Now, here is the good part-I got a hug!!!!! Silly, you say. This is probably the 5th hug in 5 years. The last year has been rough and he had been pretty distant from me. Rather than push myself on him, I let him have his space. Maybe he is coming around and realizng that I am not the devil!!!!!
Not only did I get a hug, but it was in front of all of his co-workers, and a crowd of people!!!!! I seriously almost cried when I walked away.

I am so proud of him, for working so hard. He loves his little job, and he already got a raise. He was not scheduled yesterday, but they were busy so they asked him to come in. He dropped what he was doing with his friends for a chance to work all day yesterday in the crazy heat. He seems to have a really great work ethic, which is awesome for a 14 year old, who has been very spoiled. Yay for the warm fuzzy moments.
