    As close as my sister and I ever are - which is as close as siblings raised in different homes, who live in different states, who are 6 years apart can be.

    Yes to one and meh to the other.  She was my college roommate, but we live across the country from each other - never see each other and only occasionally chat.  Just grew apart.

    chocolate mousse with fondant icing. 3 layers I think. It ended up being green (wanted ivory) and kind of ugly but it was delish.

    My dad catered!

    He smokes his own brisket, so 5 briskets (that people still talk about), homemade chicken salad, potato salad, merinated green beans, specially cooked pinto beans, regular salad and something else and bread.  That brisket was to die for.

    Held it!  It wasn't bad though.  It was outdoors and super hot until sunset, so I sweated it all out.

    Ooo, tough.

    The vows, probably.  We wrote them ourselves and it was so lovely.  That was the whole point of the day, and it was sincere and wonderful, and at that moment no one existed but the two of us.

    absolutely. My dad said to me right before walking down the aisle 'Now all your dreams have come true'. I started crying right then but tried to hold it together while walking down the aisle. I kept looking at my H and smiling, and remembered looking at the guests, esp my grandmother, and was thinking 'why is dad trying to make me cry?"
