Sandbox vs. Sandtable

What are you getting and why??

Re: Sandbox vs. Sandtable

  • We got a sand & water table & in retrospect, I think we should have gotten a sandbox.  The sand gets too 'muddy' and the water gets a bunch of sand in it which the girls don't want but they can't really help it.  It's kind of a pain, honestly.

  • Well Fiona has the water table step 2, and no sandtable for her.. I'am not ready to deal w/sand in hair ears, diaper, it's a mess!  We are doing water this summer.

  • We are planning to get the Step 2 sand and water table that is on wheels.  I like it because it has an umbrella and is able to be moved easily.  Also, I can put either sand or water in it.

  • DS swingset had a place for a sandbox built in, so we just made that this weekend. He loved it and it wasn't bad cleaning him up - if you get the right sand you can just brush it off. I was considering the water table, but I honestly think he'd be just as happy playing in his little pool, or in a big bucket of water with some toys in it.
  • Both.  I got Darby the sand/water picnic table from Step2.  And we have the crab sandbox from Step2 (yay free stuff on the curb).  I'm only going to put water in the picnic table and leave the sand (hopefully) in the sandbox.  Darby's cleanable so I'll deal with a little sand.  Wink
