We couldn't see anything on the u/s yesterday to confirm gestational age or a due date, but according to my chart, I would be due like Dec 27 or 28th.
I would like to be added if that's ok. I'll email my info now.
I was reluctant to tell my boss, but he is so pro-family. He was grinning from ear to ear and told me that my school family would be with me through every step
I guess I am waiting until after the first appointment to tell my students.

I wouldn't say I was reluctant but it was bittersweet to tell one of my dear friends. She has struggled with IF and I knew she would be excited for me but we both know how hard it's been for her.?

My mom- ?She and I have a very very poor relationship. ?In addition to many other things I found out this summer that for the last 7 years she has been committing credit card fraud against me. ?So since this summer we have spoken about twice (my sisters wedding and my sisters shower). ?Although I do feel this is news she needs to hear from me...

2. My boss- ?Currently I teach an hour from my house... I am looking for a job closer to home. ?My boss LOVES me (and rightfully so LOL) so I am nervous that if I tell her while I am interviewing she might mention it in my reference phone call from another school's HR. ?

?? ? Hope it's all going well! I have my first appt. on Thursday and I'm excited, but wondering if we're going to be allowed or able to hear the HB! Anywho...i'm anxious to tell everyone at work. All the teachers always do cutsy, cheesy things and another teacher just announced she's pregnant and so now I'll be #3 in our building (unless there are others!).
?? Other than them...I want to scream from the rooftops to anyone that will listen about the pregnancy! I'm very excited. Just want to wait until we see HB and get more info. Have a great night!

Well, we just heard the hb today, so I guess all bets are off as far as telling people. We already told our parents, and they were so excited.
I think I'm the most reluctant to tell my g-ma as once she knows, the whole world will know. I just have to tell her before my cousin gets here next week, as she should definitely know first.
Work is another one I am iffy with. I'm replacing a girl who is due in a week or so, and I'm not sure how they will take it. But, one of our best friends works there too, and once he knows, it's all over - he can't keep a secret, and he'll just be too excited... lol...

I would say I am not too reluctant to tell anyone. My parents and DH's parents know already, but I want to wait until I hear/see the hb to spread the news. I even thought about waiting until I hit 2nd tri, but I feel like I can be a little more confident once I hear the hb. My appt is next Wed. yay! I'm excited, nervous and anxious all at the same time!
I am not really reluctant to tell anyone, but more nervous until after my first appointment. We did tell my parents, DH's parents, and my brother/SIL this weekend. I figured if anything were to happen, I would tell them anyway. I won't tell everyone at work until 10-12 weeks. A few people know since I am a nurse and have to do x-rays, I had to tell someone so they can do my x-rays.
I can't wait to tell everyone!!! (when the time is right)

U/S #2 5/3/11 No heart rate found. D&C done 5/4/11 at 9w 2d.
my dad and paternal grandma. I will see them in June, for my college graduation. I will be at 14 weeks then. I can't imagine telling him when he calls every month or so. He and my step mom have 3 little kids, this year they will be 6, 7 & 8 so my kid their neice/nephew will be real close in age to them.
We mostly talk about career stuff and he just paid for an expensive summer program I will be attending as a graduation present. I don't want him to think "Oh great, go to this $ program and waste it on having kids so young".
My mom and stepdad have known sice BFP as well as DH's parents.
I coach girls' rugby at my school. This was our first year and we didn't have a full team so we never played a game, leaving the girls really excited for next season. I work really closely with the boys' coach (who is also a good friend) and he's already planning a full season for next year with a Spring Break trip to Ireland for the kids. Unfortunately the rugby season is December through April, and I'm planning to be out from Thanksgiving through early February and am not sure that even once I do return I'll want to put in the extra time required to coach a sport, or be out of the country for a month in April. I know my girls will be excited for me (high school girls always are excited about babies), but I'm reluctant to tell the other coach. He's so excited when he talks about what "we" will do next year.

Probably my mom because last summer when I asked her a question about pregnancy she freaked out on me and basically said she didn't want to see me until after the baby came. I wasn't even pregnant at the time, just asking a simple question because I thought I *might* be.
I'm really hoping she'll not be rude when she hears there is actually going to be baby.
I'm reluctant to tell my manager because I just started my job a month ago.

I am not really reluctant to tell anyone. Maybe work though, I guess. I started a new position in January and we have "big" plans for my new role. I hate to have to tell them that we will lose some momentum at the end of this year. But I have waited 5 years for this-- so hopefully they dont make it to be too big of a deal!

I can't stop smiling and want to tell everyone! We told EVERYONE the day of our beta - they were anxiously awaiting the news. In fact, I have even told a waiter & a saleswoman.
To those of you reluctant to tell friends or family struggling with IF, don't be! As someone who struggled for a long time, I was (almost) always overjoyed for friends and family, but a little sensitivity and empathy went a looong way to make me feel better. Also, recognize that as happy as they may be for you, there are going to be bad days and they may not want to hear every little detail right now...
I'm reluctant to tell my future IL's! They are such great people, I really think they'll be so excited, but they live in such a small town I know news will spread QUICKLY. I just don't know how a small midwestern close-knit town will react to a baby before marriage...agh! Oh well, not much I can do now
Also, I'm nervous to tell my coworkers. I'm the only native English teacher in my school in Korea, and their outlook on pregnancy is it should definitely be AFTER marriage. I asked them about it earlier this year about their opinions on the subject, and they all go "ohhh, hot topic, hot topic!" and were really uncomfortable even talking about the possibility! 3 cheers for living in a super reserved country...
