From LizLemon post below:
Moms on this board who think they are the worst mom in the world because "my kid is watching tv" or "I gave her a cookie one day last month" need to shut up. You don't honestly think you are a bad parent because of this. You just want to show that you are a better parent than the rest of us. And if you honestly think you are a bad parent because of this you need help.
Yesterday I posted that I felt guilty because I was home with DD, who ran a fever the day before, but now seemed fine and all she wanted to do was watch Cinderella and Little Mermaid and I was letting her.
I didn't say I was the worst mom, so maybe this doesn't apply to me, but I did feel guilty. I WOHM and only get to see DD about 2 hours/night and weekends (when I am not travelling for work) so I feel like I have to 'make-up for it' by making the absolute most of all the time with her I have.
I can't be the only mom with this kind of 'working mom' guilt. Can I?
Re: S/O: Liz's post 'worst mom'
Liam is 5!
I thought I was the only one who did this!
Totally tough - and I read your post yesterday and know exactly how you feel! I also feel guilty when I am sick, but I still send my kids to dc just so I can sleep in and rest (I ration that it helps me get better faster!). I know that most SAHM dont have this luxury.
