TTC After a Loss

***KTNY***

To answer your questions about my tests. I'm getting them done now not at any particular time. I am really the one that pushed my OB to due them since I'm only 24 and have had 2 miscarriages. Luckily I did push b/c the MTHFR already came back positive for hetero...and apparently I have to take Vitamin B and Folic Acid when we start trying to help support it. But once the rest of the tests come back I'm going to schedule and appointment so I can sit down and talk to her about what they all mean and then we can make a "plan".

What about you hun?

Re: ***KTNY***

  • I felt like needed to push my OB too, so she did the testing and referred me to an RE.  When I met with the RE he said he wasn't familiar with MTHFR (that kinda scared me), so I have a call in to my OB about that.  In the meantime, I did some googling and read up ALOT on my own.  I've been on baby aspirin since December, and added the B6 last cycle.  Since last week, I've bee taking the additional 2.2 mg Folic Acid (in addition to 800 in PNV), 25 mg B6, and 500 mg B12.  My RE doesn't think this is a cause for my losses, which is why he's doing every test possible.  He feels like just because we found one thing, doesn't mean we should just stop looking.  I ovulated the day after seeing him, and we were TTC this month, so if I am not pg this cycle the plan is for CD3 testing (FSH, Estradiol, Prolactin), then get an HSG and take it from there.  He has this whole elaborate plan for me to go on the pill, but not complete a full cycle of pills to "force" a period and shorten my cycle.  My cycle is only 32 days at most.  I have a lot to talk with my OB about today...obviously.  I hate feeling like I got this Dx and now I'm the one doing the research!  Yes, there is a plan, but I still have SO many questions.

  • Oh wow I have a lot of researching to do. Ugh ok well I'm going to wait to see what the other tests say and then make the appt. w/ the OB and research my butt off. I'm worried b/c whenever I talk to the nurse she says "I'm not certain hun b/c we dont deal with cases like this hardly ever"

Yea so I'm not to reassured w/ my OB office right now...I wish you all the best of luck and I think we should keep tabs on each others testing.
