I typically check on DD once during the night (betwen the time she goes to bed and I go to bed), sometimes right before I go to bed and usually when I get up. Just making sure she's alright, not tangled or anything. I think DH thinks it's odd that I check on her....is it? Do you still check on DC?
Re: Do you check on your sleeping child?
Well yes, because my DD stops breathing when she has seizures.
I'm paranoid...but rightfully so.?
God bless you, amajames and your little girl. ?
?I also check my daughter before I go to sleep for the night. ?We lost our first child to SIDS. ?She is far past the risk age, but I can't help the paranoia.?
I can't imagine how hard that would be. I also don't think that it's paranoia at all...you're doing better then I would be. I don't know how I would ever sleep.
This! I can't imagine how often I'd be up and down to check on her if she slept in her room.
Wow, I feel like a bad mommy. DD has always been a terrible sleeper and is up a lot at night so I am with her every couple of hours usually. On the good nights that she sleeps for longer periods, I don't check on her. I assume all is well if she's still asleep. The door opening wakes her up and I'm always afraid to wake the sleeping baby.
