So far yes. But my belly button ring scar looks like I have one small one. That said, my mom explained that with me she didn't get stretch marks until her last week, so I feel like I'm not out of the woods yet.?
not everyone gets stretch marks and it is not always related to how much weight you gain either. more dependant on your skin. my skin is very elastic...

I don't have any on my belly yet. I've had them on my hips since high school though, so I can't tell if I have any new ones there or not. My belly has grown steadily rather than "overnight", so I think that's helped.
I heard that it is mostly genetic as to whether or not you will get stretch marks. Definitely helps to have more elastic skin.
I was just wondering who all has or hasn't gotten them. I still have 7 weeks to go, but none yet that I can detect. I know I am not in the clear yet though!
I have them all on my belly.....I suppose it's because all the weight I gained went right out front...but the bonus is the first ones I got are already starting to fade.....
i don't have any currently but i have old faded once from when i hit puberty and my butt and boobs had a mind of their own. if i skip that part this time i'll be a happy camper.
I thought I was out of the woods... as I didn't have any until last week. My mom and sister never got any with their pregnancies.
I do think genetics have *something* to do with it, but it's also how you care for your own skin. I work in the beauty industry and I know people that have had horrible skin (blamed on genetics), but once they looked after it, and used the correct products, it quickly turned around. So I don't entirely believe the genetics thing. That and the fact that you have half of your father's genes (and does anyone know if their father has any?!?!).
That being said, I have none on my tummy, but the ones that I had on my hips from adolescence, are slowing creeping their way upwards... boooo!
Knocking on wood. I don't have any, but I'm not done yet! I have a very long torso and don't stick out too much. I use olive oil on my belly everyday and drink a lot of water. My midwife said eating a ton of fruits and veggies helps, I do that anyway.
So far, so good. I have 10.5 weeks to go, but so far, I'm stretch-mark free. I'm hoping genetics will work in my favor - my mom had 4 kids and never got one stretch mark (amazing, I think, since she is pretty thin and had a lot of stretching to do). Also, neither did the women in my dad's family (aunts/grandma). My fingers are crossed that I fulfill my "genetic destiny" and not get any stretch marks.
Check your butts ladies....LOL!!! I didn't get any on my belly but i have some on my butt cheeks that my husband noticed. I'm kinda glad that they are where they are cuz I can cover them up...LOL!
As of right now, I'm 30 weeks; and I have none. *KNOCKS ON WOOD* My Mom jut turned 38, she had me when she was 17 & looks better than I do. She has not one stretch mark.
I didn't have any until about a week ago (I'm due in 12 days) and it's like they let loose all over my stomach. I have been using raw cocoa butter and the oil inside vitamin E capsules...it didn't work.
I've only gotten a few on my hips, but I have heard some people (including a pp) say that they have had them but couldn't see them until AFTER the baby was born. Also keeping my fingers crossed...

Knock on wood...I don't have any yet and am hoping I don't get any.
My theory.....if I keep eating, I may keep ahead of the stretch marks
just so you know if I do get them now I will not only blame DH and my genes but you! lol!

Ditto this, although the ones on my hips - if they're not new - are definitely worse than they used to be.
So far I have none, knock on wood they stay away. I use clarins stretch mark prevent oil in the tub and then honey bee lotion stuff after the tub.
I know its all genes or not but I can hope that what I am doing is working right?
