I am not even showing yet, but per my mom's instructions, I am rubbing Aquaphor on my stomach every night since I found out I was preggers at 6 weeks. Palmers doesn't work... you need grease or oil to really make a difference/
I think stretch marks are kind of a nature and nurture thing because both my mom and g-mom never had stretch marks but put cocoa butter on their bellies religiously. Up to this point i have none, and i've been using cocoa butter....so hopefully over the next 2 and a half weeks nothing shows up!!
My stomach looks like a roadmap from DS. Luckily, they're all faded and I haven't gotten any new ones! Not like it really matters anyway. Stretch marks are the kiss of motherhood!

Ditto. I lost some weight five years ago (not a ton, 25 lbs) but I have a little extra skin in my midsection... I'm hoping that's enough to provide a buffer for me to not get stretch marks! *fingers crossed*
ha what a joke.. i started getting them at week 12.. funny thing is is that i have only gained 8 1/2 lbs and it seems like i have a road map of ohio on my belly.. blah
I don't have any yet. My Dr. seems to think that if I were going to get any, I would have gotten them by now. I on the other hand, am not so optimistic...my mom had them and I heard they're genetic so I'm not expecting to get through this pregnancy without some.
None with my first pregnancy and hoping to have a repeat for this one. My older sister and my mom have lots of stretch marks due to gaining excess pregnancy weight. My other sister and I gained just 20 lbs during our pregnancies and didnt get a single one.
I am 39 weeks and no stretch marks... my mom said she didn't get any with her three kids either. I do have them in other places (legs and hips) from my teen years, but somehow I didn't get them from the baby! Now I"m crossing my fingers to not get a few other things...
I didn't get any...I gained 35 lbs with my little peanut and swore by Burts Bees Belly Butter during my pregnancy. I used it every day without exception.
I just had my bay girl 2 months ago, and I did not get any stretch marks. I used Curel's pregnancy lotion in alteration with Palmers lotion for stretch marks and didn't get any. However, I was putting it on 2 times a day since I was 6 weeks pregnant, so maybe I just got lucky. My skin was SO DRY the entire time I was pregnant, so the obsession with lotion was basically so I didn't scratch the heck out of my skin. Good luck!?
I have two weeks to go and I have none yet. Who knows they will show if they want too. I too have also heard that they can come out after the baby has arrived. Maybe I have some in places I can't see anymore though too, but I'm sure my husband would show them to me. LOL
mine began at 37 weeks and haven't stopped coming. I highly recommend the body butter from Bath & Body works...it makes them feel more moisturized when/if you do get them.
I didn't and don't think I will- HOWEVER there is a reason for this- A year ago I lost a substantial amount of weight so I have some extra skin that hasn't gotten nearly as stretched as if I hadn't. So i am happy to have no stretch marks but I don't have the adorable round belly
HA! I wish! My husband, lovingly calls me "fire belly" all the time. I just hope they go away afterwards! I faithfully put on cream every morning and night!?
so far, so good...i'm keeping my fingers crossed that as i get even larger, my skin continues to by elastic enough to avoid stretch marks...i believe it's just a matter of your skin tone - you either are or aren't prone to stretch marks...good luck!
Not me - mine are all on the right side of my belly button. That's where baby girl tends to snuggle down. However, I am noticing a nice new one on the left side... Yippee.
Re: anyone lucky enough to not get stretch marks?
don't be like that!! : ) YOURE BEAUTIFUL!
i got some with my first who didnt make it, and my niece always says, those are the notes she left you from heaven so you dont forget her! : )
I have been lucky enough to have 3 kids and one on the way with NO stretch marks anywhere!!!
Nothing yet and I hope it stays that way
HAHAHA
That was an option?
not yet, my mom never got any, and neither did my g-ma sooo hopefully i wont at all
