NBR: Need shoe advice...

My current pair of ballet shoes have seen better days, so I went to the Puma store last night and purchased these: https://www1.store.puma.com/CategoryDirectAction.do?categoryPK=g4nvfcD3gh9azbyDOhAPHb-142&cpk=VsTPVF1iW9mzSXDTQc7G68-601 . Well they didn't have them in a 9, only 8.5... so I tried them on, they felt a little tight on the sides, but perfect in length. So I asked to have my foot measured & I measure at a size 8! I think I have a wide foot.

So should I go for the size 9? Do you usually go a full size larger if you have wide feet? TIA!

Re: NBR: Need shoe advice...

  • first things first, those shoes are super adorable. had NO idea puma made things liket hat.

second, i think i have always had wide feet but have rarely bought shoes to accomodate that. i have always gone for fit in length, and have just been excited if they offer a wide version (payless, of all places tends to offer wides for most of their shoes).  maybe my feet arent so wide that i need to do it?

Thank you :) I love Puma.. I have several pairs of their tennis shoes. Since they've done so well, they're also making "fashion" shoes now. This is a pair that I could get away with wearing to work They are extremely comfortable too. I was also delighted to see they have designers making collections (such as Alexander McQueen!!).

I've always just worn 8.5-9, and haven't had my feet measured in years, so I was just shocked to measure out at 8! I think I'm going to go to their Georgetown store later today to see if they have the 9's... I just have a bad feeling about the 8.5's.

  • Oh & BTW, I bought a pair of Coach ballet-style shoes from Bloomingdales a couple of years ago (May 2007) for full price. By August 2007, they already had holes in them. I was so pissed... all that money for a reputable line and their shoes only lasted 5 months... WTF?
