He's taking in 4.5 oz every 3 hours (we're FF). Sometimes he doesn't even make it to 3 hours - at 2 1/2 hour he's stiring and crying to be feed. I'm so confused cause I read about 3-4 month olds taking in 4 oz/feeding and LO is taking in that much already at a month old. I don't want to over feed him ![]()

Re: Why is my one month old eating so much??
DS was the same way. At 6 weeks he was eating 6 oz every 2.5-4 hours (depending on the day). He's just hungry. At 4 months DS eats 4 jars of fruits/veggies and around 18 oz a day (per the pedi). He's in the 50th percentile for a 9 month old. You have to look at how big he was at birth and how big you and your husband are. I'm 5'7' and DH is 6'5'... DS has a long way to go to catch up with us!!
Good luck!
Yup! My DD is doing the same thing. We are FF also. She eats 4-5 ounces every 3 hours and sometimes cries at 2.5 hours... I wish I knew why...my pedi doesn't seem concerned. They probably just have a healthy appetite...
GL
my daughter eats 6 ozs every 3 hours and my new pediatrican told me today that as long as she is keeping it down, she is hungry and never restrict her.
**My old pediatrician told me to cut down and give her water. Um..she knows the difference! ughh!
