How to get newborn to take the bottle?

So we tried giving our LO a bottle of formula last night and she didn't want anything to do with it! My DH gave it to her and she was upset. We want to give her a bottle of formula at bedtime to have her hopefully sleep longer to give me a break! Anyone have any suggestions?

I had to be out of the room before DD would take a bottle from DH.

You might try mixing half breast milk and half formula until your LO gets used to the taste of the formula.

Same way she takes the boob put the nipple on her upper lip till she opens up for it.
