Get all the pillows in the house and make a giant pile in the living room! K loves this. Also, check out indoor play areas or go to a free Gymboree class. Gymboree is where K gets most of his climbing in since we don't have stairs.
New Brighton Community Center, Eagle's Nest, has a good indoor play area. They have a separate 3 years and under room. It's $5. I've heard that the Woodbury indoor play place is not worth it - there's no separate room.
We were at Menards over the weekend and they had a whole area of their Step 2 climbers and toys for kids to play on. It's free and your DH can get his hardware store fix.
And I just wanted to say, I'm right there with you. What do you do with a bored toddler and it's still below zero in March?!?!
