A week after my big u/s, they called me and said that our baby boy's kidneys were a little swollen. They want to have another u/s at 28 weeks, which will be at the end of this month.
?Have any of you been told this? if so, what came of it?
My DH had urinary problems as a baby and I thought this could have something to do with that..by reading online I diagnosed it as hydronephrosis, but it could turn out that his kidneys measure normal at the end of this month.?
I was really worried of course when I first got the call, but I'm a little more relieved now that I know that it could be treatable if worse comes to worse.
?I'd love to hear your thoughts!
TIA!?
Re: Baby boys: Swollen Kidneys?
I do level II sono's and we see this all the time, dilated renal pelvies....its very common in boys and as long as they saw his bladder and his fluid looked normal, Im sure they arent very concerned, but they just like to follow these things to be sure. Usually it is normal by the time the patient comes back
Best wishes and dont worry
