I checked other. I am not overly active over here, but most of you know me from the regular Austin board. I am just in the pre TTC stage, you know, absorbing as much as possible.
I can't decide if I'm an "active" poster or what. I don't post too much lately since lying down does not = proper computer usage, but I do what I can in the hour or so I AM online.
I'll stick with active. I've been here ages, everyone seems to know me...
what's funny is I consider myself a pretty darn active poster. Although I definitely check out more posts than I reply to (as is the case with *everyone* I'm sure).
And then I'll happen to check my post numbers compared to other newer Nesties, and I'm really not that active at all!

I know. I am the same way. I guess you all can't actually read my mind even though I sometimes think you can. Ask DH. I think he should be able to read my mind all the time!
I post more in my head than I do on the actual board. Once my head posts it to myself, I lose motivation to post to the masses. So, I'd classify myself as a lurker & I don't live in Austin...though I'm kind of close.

I live in Houston, but got married last year in Austin. I spent most of my time on the Austin Knot and so many names here are familiar. I have never posted much on the Houston board, so here feels more normal.
On a side note, my DH and I just recently started TTC #1 (like 3 weeks ago) and I already have questions, but need to get up the courage to just blurt them out.
I checked 'Other.' I try to post when I think I can add something to a conversation, or when I need more input from other moms than I can get from IRL friends.
I live in San Antonio, but was married in Austin and got familar with a lot of the names when I was on the Austin Knot board during wedding plan. The SA boards aren't as active, so I find myself lurking (or, trying to de-lurk) on the Austin boards.

Nanann, Buttercup, Abrooks, and ACR: Wow .... I'd definitely put y'all in the "Active" catagory. I was suprised at how few posts you have, because you all have a definite presence here. Maybe that's because you have quality posts over quantity posts

We're pre-TTC too, and don't live in Austin! I haven't really felt a connection to the DFW boards yet so that's why I haven't fully migrated over there.

Um, can you add an entry for "I am an active poster who is not TTC, pg, or a mom (AKA active POSER)"? kthxbye.
we do not accept/ decline "active" status based on the current occupation of your uterus. we are an equal opportunity board.
Oh good, I won't be discriminated against based on the current occupation of my uterus. I was really worried about that. It does happen in real life you know...

Yeah - you don't get to park in the good spaces at CVS unless you have, or recently had, a "working" uterus.
(clarification: by "working" I meant "in the process of growing a baby", not "working" as in the opposite of broken )
I guess I'm an "Other". I mostly read the posts and contribute when I can (but most of the time someone has already said what I was going to say). Although I would like to consider myselft an 'active GTG'er'

Ummm, who are you again? Just kidding! You are definitely an active poster!
Oh, I definitely posted as active! post counts are just interesting. I know some are unnaturally inflated when people were trying to hit bronze or silver or whatever, but I'm always surprised I don't have a higher number.
And abrooks -- anyone that posts once a twice a day is definitely active! Now just once a month I'd consider more of a lurker.

I know my post count is high because I'm active on other, non-local boards. I think that's probably the case with some of the posters with higher counts/less activity here.
I answered lurker although I do occasionally post. I don't always feel like I have a lot to add to the conversation, but I post when I think I have something to say that hasn't already been said.

I voted other. ?I would consider myself an occasional poster, and I definitely read more than I post. ?One reason being I often check the board from my ipod, which I cannot for the life of me figure out how to respond to posts on. ?The other reason is mainly because I tend to be a bit shy. ?But I love the board and love learning from everyone, and hope to be more active as baby arrives and I have more questions.
I marked "active" but that got me thinking - if some of you think you aren't active - then I have no business considering myself active!! I don't post that much - but I stalk the nest all day long. :-) I answer posts in my head and I really need to be better about taking the time to respond.

Much more scientifically sound.
*ETA - Although as of now, there are only 44 votes. Maybe the lurky-lurks-a-lots aren't answering?

Lurker who lives in Austin. But as of today, I'm attempting to change that!
No kids, not yet TTC...sometime in the near future though.

Maybe we should inform them that their answers are anonomous?
