Baby Duckie has Arrived!

Baby Duckie was born at 9:35 AM on Sunday, Feb 15.  She weighed in at 5lbs 1 oz and was 18 1/4 inches long.  She's super tiny, smaller than the doctor thought she would be, but she's healthy and that's all that matters to me.

I started having contractions late Saturday night and by 4 AM Sunday morning, we were on our way to the hospital.  Unfortunately, things got scary really fast and I ended up having an emergency c-section as the baby was not tolerating labor at all--her heartbeat was really dipping with every contraction and the doctors had to move fast to get her out.  We spent a couple of days in the hospital and we were released yesterday.  I can't believe she's finally here.  It's overwhelming and surreal in the best possible way.  I can't even begin to describe how much I love her!!
