NE1 tried the Kohl's words on a wall?

They are those phrases you can put on the wall by scratching them on with an applicator.  Kind of like Uppercase Living.  I  bought a phrase at Kohls and am going to put them on a dark wall (since the words are white).  Do they work well?  NE1 have trouble putting them on?  I would hate to mess up my wall and have to repaint.  ;)

  • I have some of them on DD #2's wall, but they aren't sticking properly and keep peeling off.  It does have a warning on the directions that it might not stick to certain paints. We used a washable, semi-gloss paint.  I think I'm going to go to Michael's and get stencils instead.

  • Hmm...I think my paint is eggshell finish...I'm worried I am going to ruin the wall.  Is it easy to take it off then without peeling your paint?
  • Yes, that's the point, they peel off easily and don't damage your wall.  They are the one's in the cylinders with sayings like "shh...baby dreaming, etc." ?  I think they would work much better on an eggshell finish.

  • I haven't, but I highly recommend Uppercase Living.  I have applied them to the walls of many friends and family, all different paints and wall textures, and have never had a problem.
  • LSL--thanks!  That is exactly what I was hoping for...if it doesn't work I can just peel them off and call it a day.

I looked at UL too...and almost decided to rep for them.  But I had a Kohls credit and thought I would try these.  When I redo my kitchen, I'll probably do an UL saying somewhere...someday.
