I mean, taking a rectal temp is no easy feat! How do you know when to take their temperature? If they are flushed? Extra fussy for no reason? Congested? I don't want to be sticking a thermometer up there for everything!
That is what I figured. DD and I were snuggling in bed this morning and when we got up she was flushed. I figured it was because she was up against me but it stuck for awhile. She is acting fine and isn't warm so who knows.
we have an ear thermometer and rectal. Pedi said if ear is higher then usual, then take rectal so we dont have to put her through that each time we 'think' she's warm.
