For what it's worth, I work with a girl who has CP (along with her twin brother) and she is really smart and leads a very full life. Went to an Ivy League university, law school, etc. A CP diagnosis may not turn out to be as bad as it initially sounds. I hope that's the case for your girls.

I am very sorry to hear about the diagnosis and the traumatic way the Dr. introduced it. Jerk. I also have a friend with twins whose daughter has CP and I am purely amazed what her daughter can do. I wish you well. Your children are absolutely beautiful.

seriously what is with the horrible medical care and doctors lack of information lately! that was no way for you to find out or if this is EVEN the correct diagnosis. are you going to get a second opinion?

This has to be so difficult. My neighbor has CP and though she can't walk she lives a very full/independent life. My prayers go out to you and your beautiful family.

Oh Sarah, I'm so sorry to hear this, and what a truly wretched way to find out. Hopefully at least getting the formal diagnosis will help you get more specialized treatment for your girls. They've been such fighters already.

I am so sorry - that doctor needs a slap in the face - that is no way to give patients dx information. I am sure with you as their mom your beautiful little girls will thrive no matter what the official dx.
