Hello all!
I thought that this belly fat would just go away after 6 monts of EBFing. I still look 5 months pg!!!
Any advice on getting rid of this thing?? Did you lose it just by losing weight, or did you do anything special, specific exercise regimen, etc.
I gained 35lbs during pg, and lost 25 within weeks after birth, so I still have an extra 10 since pg, but would like to lose like 30.
Any success stories and specific details would be helpful. Thanks!!!
Re: my belly- how to get rid of it??
If you figure it out, let me know! I am 3 lbs above PP weight, and my belly is still super flabby.
I wish I could make it to the classes at the gym I used to go to, but between school and baby it's impossible!

If only I knew the secret!
I have the same problem, and here is what I've learned. ?
I've seen five different doctors (2 OBs, 2 plastic surgeons, and my regular doctor). ?I kept going to different doctors because I didn't want to hear the answer They have all told me that I have diastasis recti.
Diastasis recti is a condition when your stomach muscles separate, and it can happen during pregnancy. ?Because I have diastasis recti, no amount of diet or exercise will ever make my stomach flat again. ?I will be getting a tummy tuck when I am done having children, because I simply will not live in a body that looks 4 months pregnant for the rest of my life.
To check to see if you have diastasis recti, do a sit up. ?When your shoulders and head are up off the floor, feel the middle of your stomach (around your belly button). ?If you feel a gap or mushy spot between your muscles down the center, you might have it. ?If you think you might, check with your doctor. ?They will be able to confirm it. ?
I hope you don't have it, but if you do, at least you'll know. ?It's better to know and not have to starve yourself or exercise your body into oblivion for nothing. ??
?
if you do that sit-up test, i read that if you can fit two fingers in that mushy part or gap, then that's normal. If you can fit three or more, then that means you might have it, but either case, it's something you can have checked out with your doctor.
I think in the end, we all know that it's unrealistic for us to have six packs (unless you have some sort of plastic surgery) but at least with diet and exercise, you can make it BETTER and you can feel good about yourself
