WWYD about Christmas cards if you were me?

This baby is due 12.31.  I plan on sending out birth announcements in January.  But, do I send out a Christmas card with just the three of us on it or do I wait and do a New Year's card with the four of us?  And then do I still do a birth announcement?  I do still want to send out an announcement with just pics of him and not an all-in-one holiday/announcement.

What did you do with L?  DS is only a few days younger...we just did regular Xmas cards, then the birth announcement later.

I would just send out a Christmas card with just the three of you, because if you don't do it before baby, they may not get sent out & then it would seem like you are making it a NY card/baby announcement.  You could sign the christmas card "& baby due 12.31", some extended family may not remember your due date.

I concur w/everyone else that replied.  And FWIW - I was having the same inner dialogue with myself but decided to do the separate ones.

I have a scheduled c-section for 12/19 but I am sending out cards without the baby on them.  I feel weird mentioning her as Baby C and I want to send out a card with DS on it, so I figure the people will get it before the baby is born anyway.  Then I will send out birth announcements within a month of her birth.

Ditto everyone else, send separately. If you were having a baby any other month in the year, they'd get their own separate announcement.
