Multiples

Pls. Rec. your bottles for newborn twins!

I was just wondering what bottles you used successfully with your twins or multiples?  If it matters, I plan on pumping.  Wih DD, I started out with Avent, then switched to Born Free after the BPA scare. Now I know that many brands have come out with BPA-free bottles, but don't know which ones are good, Please recommend your bottles if you really like(d) them! TIA

  • We loved Dr. Brown bottles.  The preemie nipples worked great and my babies had no problem switching from the bottle to the breat.  The bottles do have the extra parts to clean, but they really helped with gas!
  • breat= breast.  Sorry

  • We had really good luck with the Dr. Brown's too. I don't think we used preemie nipples but it still worked fine.  When they got to be several months old, we swtiched to Avents in hopes they would be easier to hold.  We also had no issue with nipple confusion and switched back and forth with no problem.  There are extra parts and if you use a bottle warmer, the milk can go up the center tube and then make a huge mess.  Get those inserts for your dishwasher for all the extra parts.  We just ran the dishwasher A LOT.
  • We went through what seemed like millions of different bottles, and the only ones that my girls liked are the Gerber Clearview bottles, which are about $3 for 3 bottles and BPA free.
  • BPA free Dr.Browns. Expensive, so buy few at a time, but worth it. We orginally had Evenflo Classic BPA free and they spit up soooo much, the Dr.Brown's helps so much!
  • We use the Evenflo BPA Free bottles. They are $3 for 3 and are easy to clean and do not leak.

These are the same ones we use.  They seem to be the only nipples that our babies can use without drooling milk excessively all over the place.

  • I love my Avent BPA free ones. I bought the attachments to convert to the medela pump I was using so I was able to pump directly into the bottles. I also like that Avent makes a sterilizes and a warmer that the bottles fit well into, and we use those ALL THE TIME!!!

  • We went through about 7 different styles and brands for DS and ended up going back to the dr brown.  That is what DD started off with.  I will second that they have alot of parts and takes a while to wash bottles!
  • Dr. Browns.  That was the only brand they really liked.  I tried to switch them to the drop-ins unsuccessfully a few times, but to no avail.

  • We loved using Playtex Drop-Ins early on (and we still actually use them a lot).  I just bought 2 per baby and color coded them--so I knew james always had a blue bottle and Addie has a purple bottle.  It made clean up SOOOO easy those first few weeks--rather than washing 20 bottles a day I just washed nipples and rinsed the outer bottle and ring.  They were truly a lifesaver.
  • Dr. Brown's have been great for us!
