Thrombophilia

Has anyone here discovered this was an issue after having a recurrent miscarriage panel run?  Have you been able to carry a child to term after discovering this?

Thanks for any info.  My new dr. took 10 viles of blood and is running all sorts of test for thrombophilia. She is concerned that this is my issue after my miscarriages.  When I asked how I had one baby in between, she said the immune system reacts differently with each pregnancy.  At this point I think baby wittykittykat is a miracle..............

Hi. I haven't had a success yet, I've had 2 losses, the second was twins. I have bene diagnosed with Factor V Leiden Mutation (hetero) and MTHFR. I am on an additional 4mg of Folic acid for the MTHFR and I take lovenox when pg.  Good luck to you!!

i had 2 early m/c's in 2005. after the 2nd one, i had testing done and they found 2 mutations for factor V leiden and mthfr. i finally got pg again a year after my 2nd m/c and started the lovenox injections right away until 38 weeks. i had a scheduled c-section (he was breech) and delivered owen with no problems in aug., 2007.   it can happen !!

we will be ttc again next month...& i plan to start the lovenox again asap.

oh, and i will be 36 next month too.  here's praying we both get our 2nd miracles

Hi, They are calling mine thrombophilia.  I was taking lovenox until today, I switch to heparin.  I had my first son with no indication of a problem.  Lost my second son at 19 weeks.  I am 36 weeks now and WILL have this son!!!!!  :-)  GL!

I had the Thrombophilia panel, and I was dx with PAI-1, which is a clotting disorder.

I am on Heparin and baby aspirin for my entire pregnancy.

After my miscarriage my RE did the thrombophilia profile.  I was dx with PAI-1 and homozygous MTHFR with elevated homocysteine levels.  I am on lovenox and baby aspirin for my whole pregnancy.

I had 3 miscarriages in a 6 month time span last year and FINALLY was diagnosed with Prothrombin Gene Mutation - one of the thrombophilias (there are several).  I started lovenox 3 days after ovulation and will continue until 6 weeks after I give birth.  I know how devastating going through this can be - if you have any other questions, please let me know.  Best of luck to you.
