I'm having a really hard time finding brightly colored crib sheets, is there any reason (baby safety) that I couldn't get a plain white sheet or two and dye them myself?
I've lurked here a lot, and I think that someone out there will know if this is an issue, or can suggest a baby-dafe dye to use.
Thanks!

I'm thinking that sewing would be your easiest route for
safe but bright colors. Koolaid would probably wash out,
but most available fabric dyes do have stupid high
chemical content; I had a friend who worked in a costume
shop for a nationally known opera whose hands were
wrecked even through gloves after her first week as a
dyer. You obviously wouldn't be doing that much, but
I'm thinking that exposing fresh baby skin to those
sorts of chemicals wouldn't be the safest way to go.
