Crib Bumpers (poll)

I'm conflicted and wanted to see what people are planning on doing!  TIA!

Re: Crib Bumpers (poll)

  • I voted for the 2nd one, but I really only plan on using a mesh bumper if it's necessary.  I'm not even buying one unless I notice baby sticking her little hands and feet out.  I don't want them getting stuck, but it may not end up being an issue:)

  • I figured I'll use regular bumpers, but I plan on using one of those wedges that prevents the baby from moving around.  My friend has one and LOVES it!

  • i voted for other because we won't be using one.
  • I plan on using the regular one. I have a bassinet she'll be in for a couple months so I figure by the time I put her in the crib hopefully she'll be able to turn her head away from the bumper if she gets close to it..  if I find out she likes to wiggle to one side or the other I'll just take it out

  • We didn't use a bumper at all for my DD. I didn't feel a need for one until past her 1st birthday when she actually started getting her leg/feet stuck in the slats. Now she's big enough that she'd just get it suck above the bumper so I haven't worried about getting one.

I'll likely get one this time around though if the need arises

  • We've been using crib bumpers with ds since he's still fairly immobile.  Once he starts rolling and moving when he chooses, we'll take them out.  It may sound silly but I think the bumpers helped create the same sense of coziness of his bassinet.  He had no problems with the bassinet to crib transition.
  • we registered for mesh one but have not received it yet. He will be in bassinet for awhile. We are going to use a sleep positioner. We shall see how that works and will see if we actually go buy mesh bumper.
