I'm asking because I FINALLY found a temporal one that was NOT expensive AND it works great!!! So, we now use the forehead method. Before this we used under the arm--UGH so timely!!
I found one that works great for the ear. It only takes a second and I feel that it's really accurate. I'll do it to myself and it usually gives me an 98 reading. I love it!!!
Under the arm or forehead, but if I'm worried or those give me a high reading, then I go for the rear. Thankfully, I haven't had to do that with DS1 in a long time.
Also, if you are talking about the one that you rub across the forehead --- I had one of those register at 99.7 in the doctor's office. Took the temp rectally, it was 102.5. Don't trust the forehead wand things!
I had a raging fever after my c-section and those forehead thingies registered 100.8...the nurse took it orally and it was 103.6 yeah not the most accurate.

Liam is 5!
Rectal -- it's the most accurate.
