Pregnant after a Loss

~~Miracle Social Worker~~

The NSTs are fine, painless and for the most part enjoyable.  I've been going 1x per week since 32 weeks and just started 2x per week last week. They hook up two monitors (little disk things) onn your belly, one towards the top of your uterus which measures any contractions and the other disk thing on your baby to grap hb. The baby's baseline hb is found, in my case 135-140 and from that point they want the baby to raise his/her hb 15bpm above the baseline and hold it there for about 15 secs.  They also look to make sure your baby isn't having decels (bpm below the baseline)

You just sit there and click a button when you feel baby move, sometimes they have you poke baby to get em moving. Make sure you eat something about 20-30min before appt.  The test is usually 20-45 min

  • I am worried because Baby John has some slow days sometimes, and I don't want that to happen when I go in..some times he is bouncing around, other times asleep....It scares me...

I hope yours goes well tomorrow. Keep us updated!!!

  •  I know what you mean. Baby J has like 3 active days and thena lazy day. Plus he is always active at night, so sitting there at 9am is torture cause he is clearly sleeping and I am poking him over and over to wake him up. I'm such a bad mommy.

I will def keep you guys updated Aprilinva is my labor buddy in case something happens ::knock on wood::
