Pregnant after a Loss

The answer *I* got from Target

The rep, who was VERY nice, by the way said that ALL orders are placed on hold until they determine how many orders can be honored at the discounted price (which was an error).

At that time, we'll be notified by email if our order can be honored, or if it will be cancelled.

Re: The answer *I* got from Target

  • Okay, so now I'm really annoyed.  I wouldn't have wasted my time calling if I thought they'd straight up lie to me.  I'm going to call again, and ask to speak to a supervisor.
  • Loading the player...
  • I just called again, and was told all of the orders will be cancelled because the price was an error, it was supposed to be $249.  This lady told me they would go "basically bankrupt" if they honored that price across the board.  I wonder if I should call a third time and see what the next person says...  I'm definitely not holding my breath now.

  • There is no telling what is the true response;  I think the only thing for certain is that it WAS a pricing error, and the massive demand has thrown them way off guard, and communication is lacking.

I'm keeping my order pending, and if it works out, great.  If not, nothing lost, really....

  • well i think that the answer you get is only as good as the employee that you talk to.  however, i highly doubt that honoring the reduced price for 2 carseats would make the entire corporation go bankrupt.  i think that lady was exaggerating just a little.

in any case, i hope i get mine!

  • Yeah, I just called again and asked to speak to a supervisor.  She said that it was a huge error, and that Target has not actually made a decision on what to do.  They are investigating what happened and why the price error occured.  So we shall see.  I wouldnt blame them, honestly- we payed a ton for the Marathon my daughter sits in every day.  I guess when it seems too good to be true...
  • Apparently the carseats weren't the only item that had an error. Someone on the other board was saying it was tvs, snowblowers and all kinds of stuff.

So it would probably be a huge financial burden if they honor all the prices. I would hate to the be the one who messed up their system.
