BTDT: Peeing after cs

Im sorry if this Has been posted before but it didnt come up In a mobile search. I'm 12 days pp and in order to pee I have to sit forward. Is this normal? Does it eventually pass? TIA!

Re: BTDT: Peeing after cs

  • I imagine it's because you're still numb and can't quite control your pee muscles so leaning forward helps put pressure on your bladder. I don't know if I had to lean forward, but I know I was numb and couldn't always feel when I had to pee until I went and was like, whoa that's a lot of pee.

  • I am the same, 11 days PP and if I don't lean forward, I nearly pee out the front of the toilet between the seat and the bowl... Always fun..

This happened to me, too.  After a couple weeks, things got back to normal.

  • I started having to do this after my vbac, not after my csection. 18 months later I still do it. Sometimes I have to press my belly with my hands, too, to get it started.
