I had my first NST today at 32.5 weeks. Both girls are looking great. I also had my cervix checked which I had not had previously and everything is looking like it will be awhile longer to meet the girls, which I know is best for them. With the heat and working full time, I am ready to be done but I just take it one day at a time. My fundal height measured at 41 weeks!
I had no idea or premonition that I would be having twins. My husband and I joked about and it I had said that I would not mind if there were two in there but when we actually found out at the 10 week ultrasound we were both in shock. We were married in late October and knew that we wanted to start trying for a family but when we found out two months later we were pregnant and one month after that we were having twins we both were very surprised!
I had my growth scan yesterday to check up on Baby A's IUGR. She actually dropped from the 9th % to the 6th %. Her heartbeat and activity level are very strong so they are going to let me carry her for one more week.
They also checked the fluid level in Baby B's kidney, who has pylectasis. It is still elevated and we are hoping that it will correct itself after birth. The original area of extra fluid dropped to a normal level, but there is now increased fluid near the ureter, which they say could just be kinked because of the way she is laying. The good news is that it is low enough where they believe that it is unlikely she will need further medical attention.
We scheduled my c section for next Tuesday, July 23!!! I will be 36w1d. I am so nervous, anxious and excited!! I can't believe I only have one week of pregnancy left...feeling a little sad about that.
