ETA: I agree that the meaning is pretty cool, but I wouldn't choose a name just because of the meaning. Most of the people in her life won't be aware of the meaning anyway.

I hada friend growing up who's sister was breena and always liked it. I never knew that's what it meant either. That's pretty neat.

If you like it, and your husband likes it, go with it.  Will you feel comfortable yelling it at the park?  Printing it on all her documents?  She won't be one of 5 Breena's in her Kindergarten class, so that's a plus.  When I taught, there was a girl named Sabrina, and all her friends called her Brina, so I've heard it/called it before, maybe that's why it doesn't seem strange to me.  Always go with your gut, (and head).  As long as it isn't totally far out, isn't impossible to pronounce or spell, then, go with it.

This is my name. I love it and people always compliment me on it, but I will say your daughter will have to repeat and spell her name constantly.

I always get mistaken for Breanne, Brianna, Brenna, Sabrina.
