I really hate it when men shave or wax off all of their body hair. I think it is really strange, and I don't find it attractive at all. I mean, "manscaping" is ok, but I just don't understand why a man would shave his legs/chest/pits unless he was entering a bodybuilding competition.

Fair enough. I guess I should clarify that my UO is that I don't find it attractive when men shave or wax their body hair.

I have a preference to shave my pits, legs and hoo hoo, but it angers me to no end that men and women think other women are gross and disgusting for not shaving. I have female friends that don't and it's not a big deal. It's normal. Its our bodies.
Women didn't start shaving until razor companies starting marketing to them. The only reason we shave is because razor companies told us we weren't feminine unless we did, and that's BS.
Therefore, I'm not shaving my armpits right now. If one person says I'm gross, I'm going to ream them out. I'm trying to teach my DD body positivity and I can't do that if I'm constantly bowing down to societies absurd female beauty standards.
The legs and hoo hoo will still be shaved. I'm not getting TOO ahead of myself here.

I remember when I was in highschool I thought it was so attractive to just have the "no hair" look on guys. I guess I thought they were just naturally unhairy :P Now I realize a real man's got hair

Hubs had a stress test last week, and he's a bit hairy in the chest. He was "manscaped" by the person administering the test, and now has two bald patches on his chest. It's freakin' hilarious, but also a little itchy.

Honestly, the reason I shave is because my legs and armpits look better if I shave them and I don't want pubes hanging out of my bathing suit, not because of razor companies.

I agree!
I actually am not certain about "womanscaping" down there (to the point of hairlessness, anyway) once we have children--especially girls. I loathe the idea of teaching our children that girls/women must be hairless--it's completely unnatural and I worry that it could damage self-image/self-esteem. I'm also terrified of having a tween/teen that shaves their pubes because "boys don't like hair". The thought of that makes me ill (not the having sex part, but the being made to feel the way they were made is not okay part).
Hubs is on the fence about this, and doesn't understand why it upsets me so much. I just look at him in exasperation and say, "But it's NOT NATURAL!" He doesn't get it.

I agree with this 100%, I would also like to add over-plucking of the eyebrows. Don't get me wrong, men should tidy up the unibrow and maybe tweeze the odd straggler but I find shaped eyebrows on men totally unattractive.

LOL! My H had to shave part of his chest to get a tattoo and he just decided to shave the rest of his body as well. That's what inspired this UO. He looks so weird right now, and his prickly hair is AWFUL! With FW coming up, I just have to suck it up and deal with the prickly itchy awfulness. I made him promise to never do it again!

I just think my armpits will make more a statement. I wear long dresses in the summer so my legs aren't very noticeable. Plus, I have really sparse leg hair, so I rarely have to shave them anyway.
And I prefer to shave my pubes for sexual purposes =]. Actually I've been using an electric razor instead of shaving, and that's been amazing. No razor burn!

I actually HATE Zumba.
I feel like an uncoordinated, gigantic while doing it. First, because I'm uncoordinated, and second, because I'm at least a foot taller than everyone doing it. I CANNOT GET LOW, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
My UO: I think it's irresponsible to drink during the 2 WW. If you think there's a chance you might be pregnant, why do you need to get all tanked up? If it turns out it's negative, you've got a solid month to drink it up before you might be there again, I know the risk is slight, but there is so much rapid development during those early weeks. It just doesn't seem worth the risk to me.

This. I shave my legs because it looks gross when I don't. Same for my pits. I get Brazilian waxes for my vaj.
Well I guess my UO is that I love Zhumba! There aren't too many places that you can let loose and get your dance on in public. Zhumba is all about looking goofy, having fun and getting some exercise while you're at it. If you can't laugh at yourself, you have serious problems.
Zumba sucks! At my gym you can watch them through the window, and they all look silly!
Making fun of people trying to get fit is HILARIOUS am I right?
The people "looking silly" probably know they look silly. The important thing is, they're getting their heart rate up and improving their cardiovascular health. There is hardly a sport at all where people look "pretty" doing it . Just make sure people don't catch you poking fun at them, some people exercising feel bad enough about themselves as it is.
Do a Google image search for funny sports faces. It happens.
I didn't say that I make fun of them, I would never do that or tolerate seeing anyone else doing it. I just said that they look silly. I was just trying to say that everyone looks funny doing Zumba, even the omgsofitsexy women who come to the gym with their makeup on and hair done. That should not stop anyone from doing it though.

You don't understand implantation timing or fetal development much, do you? You also can't count, unless you think everyone had 6 week cycles.
I don't care about the whole drinking opinion, but your reasoning is way off base.

There is no risk, not slight, ZERO. You don't even share a blood supply with the embryo until 6 weeks. You need to chill! No one's condoning getting shiitty, but a few drinks are perfectly fine & safe for the baby. Even if someone wants to get tanked, it's NBD. Also, if it turns out negative, most of us would have 2 weeks to "drink it up" not a solid month. Math, it's a good thing.
Yes, I realize I misspoke in my calculations for drinking time between cycles. My apologies. I still don't think it's worth the risk of drinking in the 2 WW. Most studies will say that they don't know how much alcohol is acceptable during a pregnancy. It's just not a chance I'm willing to take.

Oh believe me, I laugh at myself ALL. THE. TIME. My problem with Zumba is that I'm too busy trying to figure out what I'm supposed to be doing and not actually getting a work out. That and I might hurt someone with my flailing arms lol.

Having a drink or 2 =/= getting tanked. And no, if it is negative, you have 2 weeks to drink before you hit the 2ww again in which you feel drinking is a no-no (give or take, obviously).
My UO- I don't like you. There is something about you that is extremely abrasive and you feel like a troll.

Really? I didn't realize folks even knew who I was, much less had developed feelings of negativity for me. : (

Except you aren't pregnant during the 2ww.
They say that because everyone's body reacts differently and it's a CYA so they can't be sued. Nothing more. Many doctors and midwives give the green light in 2nd & 3rd tri to have a drink here and there. Most countries don't get their panties quite as twisted as we do on this topic, and they are doing quite fine. Then again Americans get pretty twisted in the panties about most things alcohol related, so that would make sense.
Everybody all together: You are NOT pregnant during the 2WW.
If you don't want to drink, then don't. But don't judge me because I've chosen to be educated & realize that I'm not risking any harm to my potential child by drinking.

Now I am just being totally curious, so correct me if I am wrong, but would the alcohol have some effect on the implantation itself? Again, I have no idea, but it's something I have often wondered to myself when deciding whether I should be drinking or not.

Totally agree! When me and DH first started dating I think I shaved my girly bits like once before I realized it SUCKED when it started to come back. Never again!

HAHA!
I've had exes that manscaped before, some to the extreme of shaving nearly everything, and I didn't mind all that much. But I'd never been a fan of super hairy guys (of course I married one, however).
Hubs had a stress test last week, and he's a bit hairy in the chest. He was "manscaped" by the person administering the test, and now has two bald patches on his chest. It's freakin' hilarious, but also a little itchy.

UO= I hate The Bachelor.
Competing for some stranger on national TV? Nope. Degrading.
Honestly, the reason I shave is because my legs and armpits look better if I shave them and I don't want pubes hanging out of my bathing suit, not because of razor companies.
I cannot imagine going through the entire summer with hairy armpits. I just can't.
I don't think it's gross, just different than the norms here. Go to Europe, it's not uncommon to see unshaven women.
Any reason you aren't shaving your pits but are still shaving your legs/bikini area? Just curious.
Team Purple!!!!
I totally agree. I will take it a step farther and say that I don't like it when men care too much about how they look. There is something about a man that is a little rough around the edges that is really attractive.
I could never be with a man that cared more about his looks than me.
Me neither! Yuck.

It's such a terrible word. I can't help it! I also call it a 'peep'. Thank my mother and my aunties for coining bizarre terms for vagina.

There was an article I read a while back, I think on Jezebel, about how 'back in the day', it was considered a turn on for men to see womens pubes poking out of their swimwear.
It's amazing how that changes! I wish I could find that article...

I don't like Zumba.
Everyone says "Oh its awesome! You'll love it! It's so much fun!"
LIES! LIES I SAY!!!
I am a very un-coordinated person who despises working out with or around other people, so yeah, I was that awkward girl tripping over herself in the back spinning in the wrong direction. Not fun. I'll just stick to running. By myself.
Zumba sucks! At my gym you can watch them through the window, and they all look silly!
Yep, I like my men a little rugged!
Hear hear!
I actually HATE Zumba.
I feel like an uncoordinated, gigantic while doing it. First, because I'm uncoordinated, and second, because I'm at least a foot taller than everyone doing it. I CANNOT GET LOW, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

Me to a T. I'm sure compact little women look great doing this. Tall, Lanky and Full Figured like me... just no.
This. I shave my legs because it looks gross when I don't. Same for my pits. I get Brazilian waxes for my vaj.
ETA words
You don't understand implantation timing or fetal development much, do you? You also can't count, unless you think everyone had 6 week cycles.
I don't care about the whole drinking opinion, but your reasoning is way off base.
You are right, I miscalculated the time you'd have to drink.
HA.....you're calling me abrasive??? The feeling is entirely mutual. I can't think of one time I've been remotely as unkind as you.
Oh believe me, I laugh at myself ALL. THE. TIME. My problem with Zumba is that I'm too busy trying to figure out what I'm supposed to be doing and not actually getting a work out. That and I might hurt someone with my flailing arms lol.
I don't think that's really an UO
LOL touche. I tend to make up my own moves when I can't keep up. And by moves I mean a lot of arm flailing and leg kicking.
ETA: Ever seen the Seinfeld where Elaine attempts to dance? That's me in Zumba
Really? I didn't realize folks even knew who I was, much less had developed feelings of negativity for me. : (
Everybody all together: You are NOT pregnant during the 2WW.
