Gd moms grocery list

I have my doctors appointment tomorrow about my GD. I have had it with my last pregnancy so I am familiar with it but was just trying to get together a grocery list of food items and or meal ideas. Any moms have some favorites they would like to share?

  • Fage Plain yogurt Chocolate Milk (my go-to snack before bed) String cheese Cottage Cheese Eggs (hardboiled, scrambled, etc) Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (for smoothies) Kind Plus bars with Almond & Macadamia nuts Triscuits (to have with cheese) Almonds Fruits and veggies.   • Most of the above and veggies, snap peas, carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, squash, with hummus or guacamole. I like 100 calorie packs of guac for on the go. Most dinners I have grilled chicken, baked pork chops, stir fry veggies and a carb. I stick to Fiber One or other high fiber breads, bagels, and English muffins. And Ben Jerry's frozen Greek yogurt is my go to night time snack. Chobani bites make a good low carb snack too.

  • greek yogurt with fruit, special k breakfast sandwiches, almonds in a variety of flavors, premade salads from the store to take to work (plus it lists the nutrition info so I don't have to think about it as much), townhouse crackers and pimento cheese for a snack, 2% milk,  special k protein bars, bagel thins, eggs (going to hard boil them this time so I have them on hand when I'm in a hurry)

  • I use the whole wheat sandwich thins for my sandwiches. They have about half the amount of carbs of regular wheat bread. And low-carb tortillas are great for a multitude of things (quesadillas, wraps, pizzas). Smart Balance Natural peanut butter has really low carbs but great protein and good fat. Light & Fit greek yogurt. 

    I am careful about a lot of the sugar free options of things (particularly in the ice cream/dessert isle) as I am picky about what kind of artificial sweetener I use (only Splenda).
