CG, help me out- I think it was you who told me which Who episode(s?) to watch first in order to guarantee I fall in love with the show. Was a while ago, I've since forgotten, but I'm ready to dive in now. Just want to make sure I'm set up for success.

Are you watching through Netflix or Amazon Prime?

Netflix has them all in order but I'm not sure about Prime. 

Here's the order anyway.  I'm putting them in Season with the doctor in parens so "Season 1 (9)" would be first season of New Who, 9th Doctor. 

Season 1 (9)

Seasons 2 (10)

The Runaway Bride (10 and Donna Noble)

Season 3 (10 and Martha Jones)

The Voyage of the Damned (10)

Season 4 (10 and Donna Noble)

The Waters of Mars (10)

The End of Time Parts 1 and 2 (10)

Season 5 (11)

Season 6 (11)

The Doctor, The Witch, and the Wardrobe (11)

Season 7 (11)

Season 7 is the most recent season.  The first half is available for free on Prime and the second half you have to pay for.  That'll bring you up to date.

The next series starts on November 23, 2013 (UK time) and will begin with the 50th Anniversary episode.  Then is the Christmas Episode, during which the 11th Doctor will regenerate. 

I'm still not sure if there are episodes between the 50th anniversary episode and the Christmas episode.  Then the rest of season 8 stars up again in spring 2014, last I heard.
