After the pill?

Just curious, what was your experience like for the first few months you were off the pill? I've only been off for about two weeks, but I thought my body would have more reaction. Nothing abnormal so far. Is this typical or should I consider myself lucky?

Nothing too crazy.  Sex is better.  I did have one meltdown (which was caused by something I normally would have brushed off without a thought) but I can't say for sure it was because of the lack on BC hormones.  I haven't had my first period since being off but I'm thinking it will be a doozy!  Think 7th grade periods... Yuck!

I didn't notice much until I had my first post-BC period. It was AWFUL. Cramps, mood swings, heavy flow... I was on the pill for 12 years.

I stopped mine about 6 weeks ago, like PP said the first period is bad. Be ready  for it just in case it hits you hard too. Other than that I didn't really notice a difference. My first cycle off I wasn't charting or anything. When my 2nd cycle started, I began charting, temping and all the good stuff. My last cycle was only 23 days long and I still have not O'd yet so unless I'm having a longer cycle (which I doubt since I always remember having short cycles before BCP) my body is gonna need some time before that begins happening. If you're TTC, it could take 6 months for your body to regulate itself but it may happen as soon as the first month. With DS2 it only took 4 months to get a BFP. Good luck!

I've been off for 2 cycles now.  I've noticed my PMS is WAY worse.  My periods haven't been much worse.

I really didn't experience any differences, other than a slight increase in libido.

I too thought I was lucky... Until the second cycle. My first month off bc was great! I felt ovulation pain right when I should have, too bad I wasn't trying then.. Grrrr... And my period came right on time! My face didn't break out which was incredible to me since I originally went on BCP for acne. THEN second cycle came and my face went ape ***, my period was a week late and the cramps seriously had me questioning if I was about to give birth!!! Now I'm in my 3rd cycle and finally ttc. My face is still not ok, not sure if I ovulated as I didn't use opk or charting just had sex every other day...

I've only been off the pill for about a week and a half now...  I got my withdrawal bleed 5 days after stopping the pill, but it was really light and only lasted for a day, if even that.  Have you gotten your withdrawal bleed yet, OP?  I'm hoping what I had is normal, but also hoping for a real period to come along soon so I can be sure that things are in working order!

I was off for 7 days before conceiving my twins so I don't know if my experiences were due to being off bc or because I was pregnant haha

I'm finishing up my second cycle being off the pill.  Last month I had super sore boobs, much worse than before when I was on the pill.  That was the biggest difference for me.  My past 2 periods have been regular, but I'm still waiting for AF this cycle... as of right now I'm a day late.
