Soreness

DS is 10 months and EBF (pumping for DC).  For the past few days, my nipples have been really sore. Like worse then when DS was born and we started to BF.  Any ideas what is going on? No AF visits here yet.  I POAS and it was negative.

If it's like a burning or stinging I would guess thrush. General soreness maybe it's a clogged duct? Hopefully it clears up soon whatever it is!

It's not a clogged duct. It is like a sharp pain when he latches on. Then a general soreness of the nipples all the time.

He already has 8 teeth. He is working on 2 or 3 more but he has had teeth since Februaryish I think.  (bad mom - I don't remember when the first tooth broke)

Check your lo's mouth, is the tongue a thick white color, or do you see white spots on the inside cheeks? It could be thrush.

It could be teething or thrush. Get yourself some coconut oil, if it is teething it will help with the soreness. If its thrush coconut oil is a natural anti fungal so it will help fight it until you can get something from your doc.

I know you saod no AF yet, but mine got pretty sore before my first post partum period. If its not thrush maybe your cycle is starting up again...

check the fit of your pump felanges too. for whatever reason, your boobs can change size just a little bit from time to time and thus your felange size would change. at least that's what my LC said when I was sore for no reason. she said change the felange size and that may fix it until it's time to go back.

Definitely sounds like thrush to me.
