I think some degree of sadness and missing our old lives is normal.  If he watches her at home, he probably needs a baby break. A date night or a day off maybe.

It sounds like he needs a break and maybe some counseling. It's totally normal to have those feelings! If he ever gets too frustrated and angry, just make sure he knows to put the baby down and call someone. I had a couple of times where I handed my son to my H and walked away for a few minutes because I was frustrated. It really helped!

Have him see his doctor.  The doctor can refer him to a therapist and he can try that or he can consider medication.
