Dear Abby has a question today about adoption fundraising and how much you should be asking of your friends and family, interesting: https://www.uexpress.com/dearabby/
I loved the book "Adopt Without Debt" by Julie Gumm. It is full of ideas on how to adopt without debt, not just by fundraising but with common sense ways to cut your expenses and save more. We were already doing most of what she'd said, but it was good to get confirmation that we were headed in the right direction.
This is not a fundraising idea, but a possible funding source for adoptions and fertility treatments. LightStream.com offers unsecured funding for adoptions and adoption expenses for people with excellent credit up to $100,000.
Re: FAQ update #3 Fundraising ideas and resources
We've had three garage sales and raised $2,800 that way. Most of our items were given to us by friends and church members.
There is also the Chosen marathon, https://www.chosenmarathon.com/; they have races in New Braunfels, TX, Charlotte, and Tampa.
