The girls got up early this morning. I stayed in bed. My four year old got them breakfast (yogurt) and they watch a show. It was nice to lay in bed for an extra 20 minutes.

I'm up early today.. Lets get this rolling!
I am still playing candy crush and that makes me die a little inside.
Same here. I just beat level 65 which I have been stuck at for at least 3 weeks. I feel better knowing I only play when I eat breakfast or right before bed (at least that's what I tell myself).
Mine...I like the smell of my farts.
PS...I may be a PW today because I'm on vacation and I've neglected you lovlies for way too long.

Okay yours is gross. Haha I just beat level 123!! I hate this game!
One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone uses their windshield wipers at a speed that *I* deem to be inadequate. To the point that I reach over to the steering wheel and change it...DH wants to kill me.

Background: I'm saddened and shocked that we see posts here and I hear comments IRL about parents being rough to their children in public or in their yards and the adults posting/telling the story did nothing about it. I was one of those children and I was surrounded by adults that should have helped and didn't.
FFFC: I believe that those that allow abuse to happen are guilty of child abuse too. If you see it or have good reason to suspect it and you do nothing - you suck.
I don't go out to eat anymore with certain friends b/c they are bad tippers.
When I know I'm with someone who is a bad tipper, I bring some cash and leave it on the table when they aren't looking or haw already walked away.
If I don't have cash or we split the tab, I just tip more on my end.
For the record, I feel a descent tip starts at 20 percent. People dont realize that a server's income is tips only. As a server I got paid 2.13 and hour, and that basically covered taxes, so my paychecks were zero. Also, tey have to tip out to other employees like bar, host, and busser. So whatever you tip, go ahead and take away a good 3 percent to account for that.
Somedays I would rather look fat then pregnant. I have a short torso so my bump sticks out pretty far already and I've reached the stage where I get asked questions about my pregnancy from random strangers. I know they mean well but I'm a pretty private person and this pregnancy makes me more crabby then normal and most of the time I just don't want to talk to them. On days where I'm very crabby I purposely dress frumpy so that I don't look as pregnant
1 - this past weekend I had a glass of wine, I only drank a 1/3 of it but I still had it
2 - DH is going to a Bachelor party this weekend and there will be strippers. I normally don't care about that stuff but just feeling so fat and ugly I am secretly pissed/sad about that. Sucking it up though and not telling him. He doesn't really like strippers anyways so I don't know why I am getting all worked up about it.
I had a small sip of wine yesterday. I might have had a few more, but it was gone.
I don't love dh going to a strip club, but it's so rare that I let it go. He went to one for his bachelor party 2 years ago and then maybe once since. He's not all into it either which is why it isn't a big deal to me.

I have eaten out the past four meals in a row. It's easier when my husband is always gone and I would always do it if it didnt cost so much. Dang food.
I haven't had a job since March and I managed to pick up a few part time jobs (25-30 hours) that start next week. My aunt needed someone to watch my 92 year old grandma this week because she is at the point she needs someone around. I said I couldn't do it. I could have. I just wanted to relax and enjoy my last week off.
Dh got into a fight last night. Part of it was me being a hormonal pregnant lady, and I did tell him that later, but I cried for a long time in the shower because I wanted to make him feel bad.
I ate 2 donuts for breakfast and still want another one.

DH sucks at tipping. He's lost all privileges when we go out to dinner. I don't care if we're on date night. I tell him minimum is 20% if the waitress was decent.
And growing up in a small town, I realize how big of cheapskates my parents and grandparents are. They tip 5%, sometimes less. Makes me sick.
I'm up early today.. Lets get this rolling!
I am still playing candy crush and that makes me die a little inside.
Same here. I just beat level 65 which I have been stuck at for at least 3 weeks.
I was stuck on that level forever too! Just beat it last night, but I had to use one of those lollipop things that someone had "gifted" me. Now I have no lollipops left I am OBSESSED with that game, and I've only been playing for a couple weeks! It's bad, lol.
I'm secretly glad that the women who will be handling my projects while out on Maternity leave is having a hard time handling my account. I don't want to worry about having a job to come back to or having my account pilfered.
Ready for this one? I am a teacher and AGREE with CV. Now, I know teaching is an important profession, but I see it as a mission not as a martyrdom as some of my co-workers do. I do it out of love, but I have worked with some of the teachers CV speaks of. Ex. I got married last year and the kindergarten teacher asked if my class gave me a shower. She was so happy they didn't because they didn't give her one when she got married while they were her class. What makes people so entitled? I am just happy if parents send in tissues and Chlorox wipes, I have no need for fancy gifts.
I was a teacher before I left to be SAHM and I agree with CV as well. Parents dropping off a random coffee because they wanted to do something nice was a gesture that could make my week. I did my job well because I loved (still love) it. Was it tough? Yes, but I made my choice to be a teacher and I didn't regret it.
The big gift thing was embarrassing and I knew the incomes at my school varied greatly and getting money gifts just made me feel bad when I knew that that 20 dollars was a lot for some families and nothing for others.
FFFC- I am bailing on half of my SIL's bachelorette party this weekend for a bunch reasons but the biggest one: I just don't want to go. I don't enjoy the company of the people going, I can't drink, and it is supposed to 108 that day. I lied and told them DH has something going and I need to take care of my girls until he can get home. I plan to have dinner with them and then maybe one bar but I just can't handle a bachelorette party this weekend.
After reading, I guess my confession is that I don't care about strippers and even go with my hubby sometimes.
I don't either. I went to strip clubs before DH did, and I'd definitely go with him. Him sneaking off and spending money at the strip club and/or lying about it is the only thing that would piss me off because it's unnecessary.
I can't think of a single confession today. I have been reading everyone's trying to find inspiration, but nothing is coming to me.
I have eaten 3 donuts, but that's all I got. I feel like after last week's was DDed we really need to step it up.
seriously...you guys are boring! go rob a bank or something and then come back to tell us about it.
Haha seriously! DH brought me home a funnel cake from his work event last night, but I am not a sugar in the morning person so I didn't even eat it...yet. I did however follow through on my plan to eat brownies and frosting for dinner last night.
I had a good one earlier this week and can't think of it for the life of me. Thanks again, pregnancy brain.
Edit: Here is a dumb one that goes along with above-mentioned pregnancy brain.
A few days ago I went to our local Mexican restaurant that has a drive thru (amazing!) The line was soooooooo super long. When I got to the menu/place to order no one ever came on to ask what I wanted, and when the car in front of me moved up I just pulled up. Without ordering.
I was way too embarrassed to try to pull up to the window to order something so I just pulled out of the line. And cried. And went to Wendy's.

They think a decent tip is 5% and they never go over 7%. It drives me nuts.
OMG. That is practically an insult. When I thought bad tipper, I thought 10-15%. But I consider 15% a bad tip. That is just crazy low!
beernifer:
Plus on my birthday, I always leave a huge tip for my server just as a pay it forward kinda deal. I feel like I get good karma for the rest of the year. I know it doesn't really work like that, but it makes me feel better.
I actually do believe that tipping well brings good karma. I think good/generous actions in general do. So keep it up friend!
FYI...because I know how rough it can be as a server, it takes a lot for me to leave less than 20%. I mean, I would have to be pretty upset with them. And even then, I hesitate.
I was always told 15 percent is a standard tip, and to tip higher if they did a really good job. Was I just told wrong, or is it a regional thing, or has it changed in the last 10 years? I'm kind of embarrassed to think that I've been shafting servers my whole adult life.
My FFFC: I really want a second shower or sprinkle or whatever just to see old friends and have some cake. Maybe I'll just invite them all over on the same day and say surprise we're having cake! lol That way they won't feel like they should bring a present.
I guess this is a confession. I'm all about common etiquette and courtesies, but I had no clue that diaper showers were considered poor etiquette until yesterday's post got linked (by one of us!) on the showers board. It made me feel kind of stupid. But they are super common around here--especially for work showers. I never thought a thing of it.
Just to be clear though, I have never seen one with registry or size info, so that I did side-eye a bit. Sorry OP of that post.
Where's Batmandi, she was all for getting flamed yesterday.
I find it hilarious that everyone is so used to her "eccentricities" by now that they don't even bother jumping on her anymore lol.
LOL it isn't that, I just don't have a huge problem with the baby shower etiquette so that topic is like a snorefest to me. If she wants to start discussing haggling prices at Goodwill again, I'd be happy to join in on that conversation.
DH brought me home a funnel cake from his work event last night, but I am not a sugar in the morning person so I didn't even eat it...yet. I did however follow through on my plan to eat brownies and frosting for dinner last night.
yea I am not big into sweet stuff. occasionally sure give me a sundae or cupcake...but I would much rather a bowl of mashed potatoes. yes that is right a bowl!
I'm normally not huge into sweets...too many carbs, but since this lil being has taken me over, I LOVE them! Fruit, milk, juice, soda, cookies, donuts...OWT come true, I guess.
I've been avoiding one of my friends because I think she's a bad mother and I don't want to hear her advice and opinions on my pregnancy and how to raise my baby.

Strippers don't really bother me, but I guess my husband only goes for bachelor parties and the last one was 10 years ago. (Wow. We are old.)
I love eating out! It's awesome to not have to make your own food.
