Without getting into the dramz (which Inormally never have), you could be called a fuckingbitch by your FIL, which would cause you tell him that he's a mofo bastastard, and had the phone to your bewildered husband who says "did you just call my wife a fuckingbitch" click.

 

I am having the WORST night of my married life.  I hate those effers.

I am so sorry! What a disrespectful bastard.

Please just understand that your hubby is deeply hurt by his FATHER being such a jag off. If he is taking it out on you or being hurtful to you, its not his fault. He is feeling a whole lot of pain. I can completely empathize with both of you. SOOOO sorry!

Is this going to be a formal thing?  If not farm it out...assign people things to bring, use disposable (nice, but disposable) plates.  A smoked turkey is SUPER easy even if it is a little more expensive.  Pumpkin pies are super easy too if you use frozen crusts.  Buy the sides if you don't want to ask people to bring things.  See if you can find a long table with folding legs (like they have in schools or churches) and get a couple cheap table clothes, or sheets even (as long as you can disguise them a bit) to cover them. 

Everything will work out fine.  It's Thanksgiving and most people realize its more about spending time with your loved ones than the food.

One small thing, if you have a carpet cleaner, fill it up with water and cleaner so it is ready in case of an accident.

I am super jealous and would love to trade places with you. ?I was suppose to host Thanksgiving for 50+ people, as 5 months ago my MIL asked me too. ?A month ago she gets pissed at DH?and I for some reason and decides to go ahead and host it at her tiny house. ?I keep telling my husband I am not going this year. ?I love doing stuff like this while she biotches about it. ?Even all of the family was surprised that she decided to do it because she ALWAYS tries to get out of hosting things.
