I work in a law firm, and all of our clients are over 45 years of age... Here are the names that stood out to me as I went through my inbox this morning:

Arun (not sure if m or f. I am assuming it is supposed to be Aaron/Erin)

Arun is a masculine Indian name that has nothing to do with Aaron/Erin. Completely different history. It comes from the masculine Aruna (Indian/Hinduism) which means "reddish brown" in Sanskrit. Aruna is a Hindu god.

Marcel is a masculine French name (it also has origins in other European countries). It is actually very common in the US and abroad. It is ranked #50 in the US for boys.

I didn't know Arun was a name... Sorry for any offense to anyone...

Oh yeah, that's right!  I thought it sounded familiar.  I think that's the only time I've heard that name!

I really like the name Marcel. I come across it often enough in real life or on tv that its not odd to me. Arun is also familiar to me, mostly via Indian coworkers.

I actually quite like Marcel, although I prefer the feminine form Marcella.

Arun sounds Hindu to me, and Suprana might be ethnic as well. Rushton is very much NMS, and Whidiney is just horrid.

Marcel Marceau was a famous French mime (and I'm SO dating myself). Arun is a relatively common Indian name.
