Just reread the pamphlet given to us by our IUI nurse on Tuesday. It says that if you have three follicles over 14mm, your cycle will likely be cancelled due to risks of multiple pregnancy. So I had a 15, 19, and 22 in one ovary... and if I passed third grade math, I think those are all over 14. Do you think there is there a reason why no one stopped us from having our IUI? Honestly, I would have been heartbroken if we cancelled, but I'm a little miffed that they contradicted what their handout says. Maybe 14mm isn't the IUI standard and it's just this one pamphlet... but I'm also not exactly looking to be octomom (or worse).
TIA for your thoughts!

Re: IUI info, too little too late?
I had 3 follies in my Feb cycle, my RE was pleased with that and said a 25% chance twins if I got pregnant on that IUI. I guess I would ask next time you were in the office and see what they say. Good luck!

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. For clarification, yes, we did go through with IUI #1 on Tuesday but I read the pamphlet after the fact. I would gladly welcome twins, triplets, whatever if it was safe - but I know the risks can be high and I want the best chances of a successful healthy pregnancy.

My doctor only cancelled if there were more than 4 mature follies. I had IUI with 4 and they were happy with that.
