Waiting game....is this killing anyone else?

Don't get me wrong, I"m super grateful to be pregnant and very excited. However I feel like a kid waiting for christmas thru all this!

First, I took a test and my doc made me wait two weeks to come in for my first appt. Those two weeks dragged. Then they couldnt see the heartbeat and said I was measuring small so I had to make an appt for 2 weeks later to know everything was ok and see the heartbeat.....hubby and I take off of work to go together and we  get to the office and.......the doc went home sick and they (apparently) called and cancelled, but I never got a call. So now I have to wait ANOTHER

I know what you mean. I took a pregnancy test, of course, but haven't even had my first appointment yet. I still have another week to go!

If you went in several weeks ago, it's normal that they didnt see a heartbeat--you usually can't see that until 6-7 weeks.

Waiting sucks, but just think--you've been to the Dr once at least. I don't go until I'm 9w3d.

ETA: And it'll be made up later--a few months of going every 4 weeks, then you'll go every 2 weeks, then you'll go every week.

Oh, and if I'm reading this correct, you first went in 4 weeks ago...so you would have been like 3 weeks pregnant...?

Yeah, the first time i went in I was 6 weeks and 4 days by the calendar, so they thought they'd see it. However, after measuring, they determined I was more like 5 weeks 4 days, which is why we couldnt see it.

According to your ticker then...that was a maximum 2 weeks ago for your first appt. Not four like you described in your OP about finding out, waiting 2 weeks, then waiting another 2 weeks.

gez i went to the city yesterday to do my first appt and for a u/s and all they did was made me pee in a cup for a + test... hello i know i am pregnant.... i have a belly already! uhg so frustrated... i still have no idea how far i really am yet.

I hate waiting, we're not going until 9 weeks....so the 5 week wait is going to drive us nuts!!

i hate it, i have like two more weeks to wait to make sure my baby is ok , smh

i hate waiting too! i dont get to go to the dr till i am 13 weeks ugh,.. my insurance wont kick in till may 1st and i dont qualify for medicaid for pregnant women... buggghhhh i have soo many questions lol

I can completely understand. I am 39 weeks, and 4 days pregnant, and my due date is on saturday, and it feels like its taking along time for her to get here... OMG!!!!! When i first fount out i was pregnant i was too excited, but now i just want her to be out of me..... I have another appointment on monday, and i hope my midwife tells me something new, because when i went to my appointment last week, i was only dilated to 1 cm, and my cervix had thinned out just a little.....

Yea, its not just you.  My appt. is Friday and this week as been so slow...and I thought I was gonna find out what the sex of the baby is but now I'm not so sure because I'm only 17 weeks and my sister said I wont be able to find out until 20 weeks. I'm ready to start shopping!!!
