I know this has been mentiones in the past, but now that the birthdays are just around the corner, it's actually on my radar now.
What's everybody getting their LOs? I got Anja this rocking horse/pillow thing, and I still need to order her "big" present. I'm going to get her a jewerly box, and each following birthday, I am hoping to buy her a piece of jewelry. I'm having difficulty finding a quality one that isn't too grown up though.
What's everybody else doing?

Re: Birthday presents
I have no idea, what to get DS!
I pulled together a "wishlist" on amazon, mostly books, and Disney videos, and puzzles, but I think I might get him the tiny swing and slide set. He went in the swing for the first time last weekend and loved it!
But we don't have a tree that we can hang a swing from and we aren't planning to spend a lot more time in our current hours, so I don't want to get a swing set.
But still haven't officially decided yet...probably should discuss it with DH...DS loves all things that aren't toys like bowls and spoons, and "trash" (empty water bottles, and boxes, etc) so he will probably be happy with almost anything.
She's getting a chair (like a PBK one but different) DS has one and she already climbs into it - which he is not happy about! Probably an outside chair too (they had little ones at TRU last year)
My mom is getting her some clothes and a bike helmet.
We already have lots of things from DS - like ride on toys, Duplos, train sets, play kitchen, pool... Right now she really loves pushing around his big trucks and trains.
We also spent a lot of money recently on getting bikes for H and I as well as a baby seat, tow hitch for car, bike rack etc etc so that we can do stuff outdoors this summer as a family. We figured its our Mother's Day, Father's Day, anni gift, and DS birthday to spend money where we can do activities together.
Maybe look for an antique one? I have one that was my grandmothers and it's really nice - good size, timeless, simple but pretty (solid wood with inlayed painted flowers)
Keep in mind we have a ton of stuff from when DS was 1. I did not get rid of anything. So she already has a lot of the typical 1 year old toys- water table, cozy coupe, laugh and learn house, blocks, etc.So I focused more on girl toys that DS did not have.
With that being said we got her from us the Little people princess palace with the extra princess set:

My Mom got her the PBK anywhere chair and my Dad is giving her the baby Stella doll:

He's getting a PBK chair from MIL, a season pass to the zoo from FIL and a play set /swing set for the backyard from us and my parents.
Ive also asked for a water table and a sandbox!
