Ugh. Toddlers! Thank god it is nap time. I just lost my stuff and started sobbing before putting DS down for his nap. A short list of what he did this morning:
Hit his friend multiple times
Pushed his friend multiple times
Took toys from his friend multiple times
Stepped on his friend after pushing her down
So after all of this, I try redirecting his energy and we play
outside. We came in almost immediately because he kept trying to go in
the street, even though this usually isn't an issue.
Back inside:
Licked his fingers and rubbed them on his baby sisters face [Why??]
Laid in the baby swing more than once after a time out
Climbed onto his train table three times even though he knows he shouldn't and he got a time out for that, too
We had a long discussion before lunch about how I really didn't want him to throw his food or his plate on the floor. [A common occurrence] He said he wouldn't and I said that made me happy! What did he do? Threw a bunch of broccoli pieces onto the floor and then slapped his plate off of the table.
I think I hit my breaking point because I just started sobbing and crying right there.
-_-
Re: One of those days....
I hear you! My dh was out of town mon-wed and my son was sweet as pie the whole time (thank god). Now that daddy is home again my son decided to stop listening to me. It has been a very, very long day. Then to top it off while out my car started to make weird noises. We were meeting up with dh so when we met up I told him something was wrong anditneeded to go to the shop immediately. Apparently I don't know what I am talking about so we switched cars so he could here the noise and told me to just met him at home. So 20 minutes lateri get home and he isn't here so I check my cell. 3 texts and 9 missec calls. Guess whos car broke down on the way home! Yep but I don't know what im tLking about. And he is pissed off because I didnt check my phone well driving. Ummm.... where we live itis against the law! No one is listening to me today.
Hopefully we both have better days tomorrow.
(Sorry for typing errors, I stilcan't get use to not having the keypad on my blackberry)an
My son is like that all day every day. I cry on a weekly basic at least. Toddlers suck sometimes. Hopefully things turned around after his nap!
