I'm really not very creative, but I want to try to make a creative one for my daughter. I'm sorry if I'm such a moron, but what materials did you use to make it easy to repeat weekly or monthly? Did you make with dry-erase board, paper, etc? How many stickers equal a reward? What do you do to reward them? etc.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Re: making reward board/chore sheet
There are a lot of templates online. My DD loves Mickey, so i found a Mickey template. She helped us make a list of rewards. 5 stickers= ice cream
10 stickers= trip to Chuck E Cheese
15= trip to the zoo
20= a trip to Global Wildlife ( a free-range sort of zoo where you ride in a wagon and feed the animals).
Mine doesn't have specific days of the week, just 5 spots per row in case she doesn't earn her sticker on a particular day. I would suggest having your LO help think of fun rewards they want to work towards. My DD is 3 1/2 so she can wait 5 days to earn her reward, but with a younger LO you may have to make it more immediate.
I'm going to try this one! Here's the general idea: https://lifesprinkledwithglitter.blogspot.com/2012/03/coin-chart-behavioral-finance-chart-for.html
And here is one adapted from that idea for a 2 yr old:
It's laminated and she uses sharpie, which comes off if you write over it with dry erase marker and then wipe off.
Edit: Short version in case you don't want to follow link. They start the day with 6 coins (the characters, these are velcroed on). Bad behavior: lose a coin. Good Behavior can earn them back. End the day with all your coins, get a smile face. 10 smiles (or whatever you set) = big reward
