I hate Winnie the Pooh themed baby stuff, especially nurseries. Barf. A friend of mine is doing this as her nursery theme and keeps posting pics in FB and I literally cringe at every picture.
OMG thank you! Me too!!! HATE! I think it looks so cheap!
I'm so sick of hashtags. Like, cool you need them for instragram and twitter and stuff, but on random facebook posts it's freaking annoying and pointless. #juststop :P
I don't like male strippers. (I don't like female strippers that much either, but I don't have as strong of feelings in that matter) I don't find them sexy, they do nothing to turn me on, and I'd much rather see a guy in a pair of boxers than a speedo.
Ditto!
Also, I was really bothered by how many women I know went apeshit over the movie Magic Mike. The posts saying "who cares about the plot, I'm going for the eye candy" particularly bothered me. I know for a fact that the friends posting that in FB would be hurt/offended if their husbands made comments like that about a movie about female strippers. If you and your DH are into strippers, that isn't my business, but the double standard on this issue pisses me off.
I'm sorry but, Channing Tatum dancing his sexy little asss off and stripping? I'm there! DH bought Magic Mike for me when it came out.
If my husband posted something about going to see "hot strippers" in real life, I'd be PISSED....but if it were about a movie like Magic Mike, but with women, not that serious...to me anyway. It's just a movie.
I wish women would stop posting on Facebook about how big of a d-bag their baby daddy is..oh and worthless...and pathetic.
I want to comment on every single one of them and be like "YOU ARE THE ONE THAT SPREAD YOUR LEGS FOR THE HIM!" Also clearly without thinking about protection. It just makes you look worse for point out the poor quality of people you picked to sleep with and probably date at least for some amount of time.

I did find it funny though to see all the guys on my newsfeed complain of all the unrealistic expectations and standards put forth by that movie.
On a related note, I don't find Channing tatum attractive at all.
I hate Winnie the Pooh themed baby stuff, especially nurseries. Barf. A friend of mine is doing this as her nursery theme and keeps posting pics in FB and I literally cringe at every picture.
I think Winnie the Pooh can be cute if it is done well and the Pooh related stuff is kept minimal. If the room is in soft pastels and plush fabrics with vintage Pooh characters as stuffed animals or accent pieces I think it would be sweet!
That said, bright colored WtP stuff all over the place is definitely ugly.
I've actually never seen one done in bright colors, that would be even worse. I was thinking of what you described exactly. The friend I have is doing her nursery as vintage Winnie the Pooh with quotes (omg I freaking hate the stupid quotes) and little figurines and older style prints and crap. I just think its cheesy.
WOW...you just described my exact nursery. I wonder if age has anything to do with it?
I guess part of what appeals to me is that is seems very "babyish." I've never understood some of the themes folks go with that seem so grown up and not kid friendly at all. I like that WtP seems to naturally go with babies.
I don't like wine. I keep trying to make myself like it so I can be a classy drunk, but no success yet.
I don't really like it either. I have found one that I can stand to drink and oddly enough for it to taste good it has to be at the right temp and I have to be in the right mood. I'm clearly weird.
I'm not a wine fan either, but I found a red one I can actually deal with. It's sweet, but not too sweet.. and it is slightly carbonated so there are some little bubbles. My friend likes it too, and wine usually gives her headaches. If y'all are interested in trying here is the name:

We seriously considered it and had several people suggest we do so. (we did all inclusive instead)
I can't *WAIT* to take my kids. Like it's a big deal to me- we already have a "Disney" fund started wher we dump our extra change, etc. When we go, I want to do it big, stay on site, order the meal plans, breakfast with the characters, etc. Granted, we don't plan on going until we're done having babies, but I'm ridiculously excited for it!

Me either. But it's not because I think he's ugly, it's because my uncle looks just like him! Uncle Eric is only a few years older than me so they're about the same age. Same color hair, same chin, same eyes, even built the same! My uncle works out a lot. I couldn't watch Magic Mike without seeing my uncle.... :-P
If I wasn't married, I'd be wanting to meet Uncle Eric.

I was just bothered by the friends who I have seen *** out their DH for watching the movie Striptease or making comments about a girl being hot while watching TV and then turning around and practically humping the movie screen while watching Magic Mike. It's a double standard that does not sit well with me. I know it comes from a place of insecurity, but that doesn't make it okay. Either strippers on TV and in movies are okay for both of you, or they aren't.

Me neither. I went to a "fancy strip club" for a bachelorette party and had the opposite reaction from everyone else. I didn't know them. They smelled funny. And I don't think swinging your penis around in a banana hammock is appealing. G.Ross.

I'll take this one further. I don't like any character themed baby stuff. Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Winnie the Pooh, any kind of Disney, etc. Gag me.
I will say, though, that the one somewhat character theme I like is The Very Hungry Caterpillar. That one is cute.
I'm very selective about my character themes. I find most very cheesy and I think people are tacky when they do them. There are some I like if they are done in a classy, soft way and not in a blinding, gaudy way.

My first vacation with DH was to Disney. He won the trip in Vegas a month after we started dating and we went for our birthdays the following summer (our birthdays are a week apart). It was the most amazing trip and Disney has been super special to us ever since. Plus, you can't beat the customer service!
I feel the same about our kid's first trip. DH is already planning it and last summer when we went he was making notes on the map of things we definitely need to do when we come back with our children lol.

She has also has two children under twenty, by the same guy (have to applaud her there) and gave the 2nd one up for adoption. I admire her for doing that. I know it has to be hard and imo she did a very brave and selfless thing.

My UO... I think college is mostly overrated unless you're getting more than a bachelor's. Some professions need it, sure, like engineers, nurses etc. There's a lot of crap degrees out there though that don't do you any good.. just waste your money in acquiring it. Then you can't find a job, but people who worked instead of paying out the butt for school & got job experience are employed.
And I'm sure this isn't a UO but the price of higher education is disgusting. That's mostly what makes most degrees nowadays not even close to worth it.
I don't like getting my hair done. (I mean foils/dye) It takes forever and I get soo bored. Not to mention it's super expensive. I wish I didn't like my hair blonde so much, it's so hard to maintain.
I don't care if my husband goes to a strip club. I've been to clubs a few times and had a good time (as long as I wasn't buying drinks, 'cause they are way over priced).

I also feel this way about porn. I don't care if my husband watches porn. I am not a huge porn fan (more of an occasional consumer), but I don't find it much different than me reading smutty romance books. Both have lead to some hot bedroom sessions at my house.

I don't believe that home ownership is the be all end all and I don't believe that rent equals throwing away money. This comes up today courtesy of my former BFF, we've cooled into acquaintances, who is freaking out because she has to be out of her, truly awful, apartment in her new city in 3 weeks or her rent goes up, and hasn't yet sold her house that she bought when she was 24 where she used to live. She's asking on Facebook about how she could buy a house without a down payment instead of just researching new and better apartment complexes, she's living in a 750 a month place in Houston and I swear it's built on an ancient burial ground for all that's gone wrong. When she looked at her house originally noone thought it was a great place to buy, and it's been on the market 6 whole months and she's had 3 realtors because it's a hard sell, nice house mixed zoning neighborhood right of the highway. And I guess I just don't see the pointof putting myself underwater on what would be two houses just to be a property owner. I also think she's hoping that her dad, who paid her first downpayment and still sends her money every month, will swoop in and offer to help her again. Sorry for the rant, as someone who will be rdnting for the forseeable future because H iz AD military and we refuse to buy where we won't either be living for 10 years or know we'll be returning to to live, I just don't get buying before you're settled into the life and town you can see yourself in. I also don't come from a family of people who buy and sell houses every few years. My family either owns land and builds their own or lives somewhere until they pay off the mortgage and beyond.

I agree with this to an extent. As you said, some careers require the degree as a way to make sure people in those careers know what they are doing. I wouldn't trust an architect who didn't have a degree. However, I think the experience of college is more important than the actual degree in some cases. DH has a marketing degree that is not nearly as useful as the years he spent working his way up in the company he currently works for. He even says that it's basically a piece of paper saying he showed up and did what he was told for 4 years.

My pet peeve is when people call me my dog's mom. I know a lot of people call their pets their babies, and I sure did treat my dog like a child (wiping her mouth, packing her lunch, taking her to daycare...), but every time someone calls me "Mommy" in reference to my dog, I think, "Seriously?! That is so gross."
Let's face it, if I had a litter of puppies, something would be seriously wrong. On so many levels. And I would be very disappointed.
Hey!
I have two birth certificates, if you need an extra.

I would never trade the experience that was college. I think it is so important to go away to school and live on your own and experience that. I want my children to have that experience.
I went to college away from home. Yeah, it was fun. But college just isn't for everyone and I hate that so much pressure gets put on every kid graduating high school to go to a 4-year college. Lots of people can't afford it without taking out loans and lots of jobs don't require it.
I'd also like to add to my original post and say that I think technical degrees and apprenticeships hold more value for me than most bachelor's degrees. You actually learn how to perform a job with those and are able to contribute to your community/be self-sufficient much quicker.
There's this guy on my facebook that I went to Highschool with and he has found this stuff that you inject into your liver that makes your skin look tan.
We call him Malanotan man. I'm not kidding, he uses it.

WOW...you just described my exact nursery. I wonder if age has anything to do with it?
I guess part of what appeals to me is that is seems very "babyish." I've never understood some of the themes folks go with that seem so grown up and not kid friendly at all. I like that WtP seems to naturally go with babies.
That is no joke the wine I was referencing!! That is too funny. I have a half bottle in my fridge!
I went to Disney on my honeymoon... I'm a big fan of cheesy. Maybe that's why I like that nursery style.

I have half a bottle too! haha. Out of all the wines in the world, wow
If I wasn't married, I'd be wanting to meet Uncle Eric.
As long as both you and your H are cool with that arrangement, then awesome. Enjoy your movie!
BFP April 24, 2018 | EDD December 29, 2018
Me neither. I went to a "fancy strip club" for a bachelorette party and had the opposite reaction from everyone else. I didn't know them. They smelled funny. And I don't think swinging your penis around in a banana hammock is appealing. G.Ross.
Agreed! Saw it in 3D, and then in IMAX 3D. I now own it on blueray, and I don't do that with many movies.
I hear they are making a second movie.. I hope it's good.
Yeah, I totally get what you're saying. That bugs me too and I think it's a self esteem issue.

Oh my gosh I am with you here, I have never been able to look at Paul Rudd without thinking about my brother. They have the same facial shapes and the same personality, and way of saying things... If I closed my eyes I wouldn't be able to tell their voices apart. Super weird!
Agreed! Hashtagging has a purpose on Instagram and Twitter because it allows you to search for things. It has no actual use on Facebook.

I don't understand this. What exactly makes drinking beer classless? And how does it apply only to women?

I'm not quite sure I get it either. I'm not going around doing keg stands.
YES!!! I have a second cousin, twice removed (my fam really keeps up with one another), and she does this all the dern time. She has been known to change her relationship status several times in one day. Taken.Single.Open Relationship. It's Complicated. Taken
O.M.G!
She has also has two children under twenty, by the same guy (have to applaud her there) and gave the 2nd one up for adoption. I admire her for doing that. I know it has to be hard and imo she did a very brave and selfless thing.

I'm on the "beer is gross" train. It's not for lack of trying. I have really, really tried to like it and still do.
Not exactly an opinion, but...
I don't care if my husband goes to a strip club. I've been to clubs a few times and had a good time (as long as I wasn't buying drinks, 'cause they are way over priced).
If my husband and his friends want to go look at stripper boobs and drink overpriced beer, more power to them. I trust my husband and I have seen the strippers around here, there nothing spectacular.
I also feel this way about porn. I don't care if my husband watches porn. I am not a huge porn fan (more of an occasional consumer), but I don't find it much different than me reading smutty romance books. Both have lead to some hot bedroom sessions at my house.

Yeah, me either. I usually go for the beer bong...
Seriously, though, I would like to know what's so unclassy about a woman drinking a beer.
You know what I think is unclassy? When other people judge the class of a person by what they're drinking.
I know a few women who are like this and I really don't understand. For me, being against this isn't a self-esteem/insecure thing. I feel like it lets in temptation. Sort of like a gate-way drug to cheating.

I totally agree.

Officially OFF drugs!
I'm confused... wait... no, I'm not... I think.
