I would send her a text saying something to the effect of "well, now I know better than to let you in on my secrets in the future!"

I'm a little passive aggressive when it comes to things like that.

Every year these women would go out to lunch together one day. I've gotten promoted since the last time they went - and am now more a part of their team/on their level. I just assumed (haha out of you and me, so right!) that they would invite me a long this year.

NOPE.

Bish sends me an e-mail telling me shes taking a long lunch and I have to cover the help desk.

thhhaaaannnnnnkkkks. awesome. fluck you all. now, I'm going to cry a little bit in the bathroom.  

I'm sorry I can totally relate. My coworkers still treat me like a slave-girl admin even though I've been promoted to the same status as them. I'm still not included in the stupid lottery pool or Thai lunches.

WTF pet rescue place? I know I just sent an application yesterday, but can you at least respond letting me know you've received it? You're updating Facebook and twitter like mad, so I know you're active! I don't need an answer, just an acknowledgement!

There are often different people in charge of different parts of the rescue. I know with AADR, who MIL fosters through, she is in charge of dishing out applications, then from there, it's up to the foster moms to follow up on the references, etc. There's another person that does their web design, etc. So the person who does the rescue's FB might not be the person who takes their apps.

Thanks for this info, I had no idea! I'll sit tight and be patient. I'm just a tad excited!

Yup, this just happened to me this weekend. I am never telling my sister anything important again. To top it all off, now it's all "awkward" between my husband and I and my parents since I told my sister and not my mom. Gotta love family sometimes!!!
