2nd Trimester

Dizzy/lightheaded

I'm almost 15 weeks this week. Today I feel very dizzy and lightheaded, which is first so far. I just finished up lunch so I hope I just needed to eat. Has anyone else felt that way?

  • Being dizzy is probably one of THE most common pregnancy side effects.  I think you're fine.

  • Just another symptom of pregnancy. I'm 27 weeks and still get dizzy, it shouldn't be a problem unless you actually faint. Usually I'll just sit down and rest when I start to feel dizzy, I've even had to do it in the middle of stores before.
  • Eat more protein.

  • It is a very common symptom. I get it all of the time lately.

  • I am 22 weeks pregnant and this happens to me a lot! The only thing that has helped me is to make sure I am incredibly hydrated and that I eat a lot of protein. It is really, really hard for me to eat as much protein as they want me to but when I do, I feel much better throughout the day.

I am 24 weeks and have had awful dizzy spells to where I see stars. For me it was blood pressure. My bp gets down to 80/45ish. I have been drinking LOTS of water and Gatorade, and it has been helping. Your urine should be almost clear if you are hydrated enough.
